I use very thick picks (3-5 mm) and that's because holding a thinner pick may hurt your fingers. This pick is actually a little too big... but not that bad, the problem would be the tip, there must be different gauges, i for example, use the hardest picks I've ever seen and know many kids around the block who use .75mm picks
