  • I miss my school! That little bit of Sewanee you showed helped some with my homesickness I have for it. Thanks!

  • Glad you enjoyed it. Thanks for watching! -Jim

  • hey nice video i am living in california now have been out here for about a year but i am from fayetteville, tn and i miss it every day. and not to sound critical of your video but fayetteville is not the home town of fred thompson he is from lawrenceburg, tn

  • Well I think you are right about Lawrenceburg. He was born in Sheffield, AL but claims Lawrenceburg as his hometown. Somehow, Fayetteville fits into his story but I don't remember how. Thanks so much for watching and commenting. -Jim

  • i have family in Tenn and also Douglasville Ga pretty country.

  • Hey Shelly. Thanks for watching. It really is pretty countryside! -Jim

  • I always wanted to visit the distillery and shake Lem Motlow's hand... Well, maybe someday. Thanks for taking me there! Those are lovely colors with the leaves just beginning to turn.

  • The distillery tour is pretty neat but I had already done that on a previous visit.

  • He died in 1942, might be a little hard to do.

  • If the man's been dead all these years why does it still say "Lem Motlow, Prop." on every bottle?

  • lol copy right, it is part of the label. same reason say lynchburg tn. pop. 361. there is over 4k people living in lynchburg.

  • LOL Now that it's all crowded and everything like that, I'm less tempted to visit :(

  • I work in bottling at Jack daniels and love the little town. If you ever get the chance you really need to make the trip.

  • Next time I'm down that way (it may be a good long time. The last time I was in Tennessee was in 1994) I'll be sure to drop in!

  • Well, what-do-ya know... I was born and raised in VA(there's a Lynchburg there too) and I never knew there was a Lynchburg TN. Maybe if I drank Jack Daniels I would have known that :-P

Thanks for sharing some of the South. :-)

  • Oh that's right. I've actually been through Lynchburg, VA. Thanks for watching. -Jim

  • Great video! It makes me homesick, but thats a good thing!

  • Hey Steve. Thanks for watching buddy. Have a great Thanksgiving. -Jim

  • Thanks for taking us along with you buddy. Oh, the first few seasons of West Wing were mcuh better than the latter few.

  • Hi Tom. Well thanks for riding along with me. There's always a seat reserved for you! LOL The first four seasons of the West Wing were the best because Aaron Sorkin directed those. Happy Thanksgiving. -Jim

  • How did I miss this video....... always a pleasure to see you Jim!!!

    Missing ya!!!

  • Hey Martha. Well I slipped this video on YouTube early Friday morning. Thanks for watching. I hope you're having a good weekend. Good luck to your Colts against the Chiefs today. -Jim

  • Ya know Jim... I have something special for you....You will get a chuckle but yet enjoy it.

Yep .. YAY for my Colts!!!!

    Hugs,

    Martha

  • Thanks Jim.

I like The West Wing too. :)

  • Hey Jim. Thanks for watching buddy! I wish the West Wing was still on television. -Jim

  • Yes and no. I liked the first few seasons better than the last ones. Probably just me.

    Have a good week.

  • True the first four season were by far the best. Those were the one's directed by the West Wing creator, Aaron Sorkin.

  • Hi Jim! Nice to see you. I am back home and have come off the road (hopefully not to return!)

  • Hey Sherron. Well it's always nice to be home isn't it? Thanks for watching my ride through Tennessee. I hope you're having a good weekend and doing something fun! -Jim

  • Just getting organized for getting back to work on Monday. Feels good though!

  • Jim...THANKS for this video. I needed it. Your travel videos always make my day better. I hope you are well and are taking care of yourself. Ronnie

  • Hey there Ronnie. Well I love to share my travels. On the days I pass through the interesting little towns, I try to capture a little of it on video. Thanks for watching. I hope you are having a nice weekend. -Jim

  • Hi Jim. We love those small towns. Thanks for the ride. Some more destinations for us when we get back to Tennessee.

  • Hey SunnyDazStormyNitz. Yea, that's a beautiful drive down the back side of Monteagle. Thanks for riding along with me! -Jim

  • Jim:

What do you think of my fish eye ball christmas tree ornaments? The jellied cornea part of the eye ball would glisten in the different colors of the christmas tree lights. maybe you could try to sell some at those gift shops you go to. I'd give you a hefty percentage of course. That way you could get your brother in law the west wing dvd. :)

  • I think my customers would just love those Susannah! -Jim

  • Good to see ya, Jim!

  • Hi Cindy. Thanks for watching! I hope you have a great weekend. -Jim

  • That was really cool Jim:):)

  • Hey Ben. Thanks for riding with me through Tennessee buddy. -Jim

  • Great ride-a-long... except I can't believe you were in Sewanne... and didn't visit my favorite food place... PEARLS...

And in case you are looking for Christmas present ideas... Steve loveed West Wing... but then-----WHAT'S NEXT?! ~ann

  • Hey Ann. I did pass by a sign for Pearls but was confused. I thought Pearls was in that rock house in Monteagle. What's the name of that place? -Jim

  • great travel vlog as usual. I love all your vids though...except one. You know which one I'm talking about.

  • Thanks for riding along with me Susannah. There is always room in Country's car for you! SMILES -Jim

  • I love sharing a secret code with you :)

  • SMILES :-)

  • Wal-Mart : (

  • Hey Cassidy. Wal-Mart? -Jim

  • Wal-Mart

    : (

They destroy local economy. They treat their workers horribly. And, once they drive out local business, they jack their prices up. The entire state of Vermont forbids Wal-Mart stores.

Sam's Club is also owned by Wal-Mart.

  • Oh I agree. I bought the DVD's at BestBuy. Thanks for watching Cassidy! Happy Thanksgiving. -Jim

  • Happy Thanksgiving to YOU!

  • Welcome to Tennessee

  • Hey thanks BigBearLodge. It's beautiful up there right now! -Jim

  • Sewanee, how I love ya! How I love ya, my dear old Sewanee. I'd give the world to be among the girl in D.I.X.I.Even though my mammy's waiting for me... you get the picture ;) I'll probably get lynchburged from the nearest tree for that poor pun.

  • Hi Nathan. Laughing at you getting lynchburged! LOL Have a good weekend my friend! -Jim

  • Awesome trip!!!

  • Hey Jeff. Thanks for watching. Have a great weekend. -Jim

  • Thanks for the tour Jim. You've got some great Autumn colours over there :)

  • Andy it is just incredible right now. Unfortunately the video compression killed the detail but at least you can still see the colors. Thanks for watching and have a good weekend! -Jim

  • Love the TN footage...man, I wish I was there right now. My sister-in-law who lives in Chattanooga is just loving it up there right now. The colors you showed were really lovely. Nice to see you!

  • Hey Mic. I always make a special point to drive through that area every fall as the leaves peak because it's always spectacular. Unfortunately, the video compression kind of kills the detail. Thanks for watching. Have a great weekend Mic. -Jim

  • Hi Paul. Thanks for the stars my friend. I hope you have plans for a fun weekend! Take care. -Jim

  • That's beautiful. Man, I love that part of the country. You put together such nice videos. Thanks!

  • Hey Sue. Well thanks for the compliment. It's the places that make it interesting not my poor editing. LOL Thanks for riding along with me this week. -Jim

  • Lee I know! I thought the same thing when I saw that place. LOL

  • Lee we have some great YouTube nose scratchers and I was just trying to fit in! LOL

  • don't forget my samples Jim

  • Hey there Steve. They might give me some of that sour mash as a sample! LOL Have a great weekend buddy. -Jim

  • Thanks for taking us along! Beautiful fall colors :)

  • Hey Sue. Thanks for watching. I'm afraid the video compression took away lots of the detail in the fall foliage but it was just amazing. -Jim

  • Hey Jim! Thats the great thing about Tennessee, there is nothing generic or plastic about it. Every town has its own character. Heck its almost as nice as Virginia! LOL!

  • Hey Dicom. I really like those little towns because they really do have lots of character. And, you're right Virgina is a great place to travel as well. Thanks for watching buddy. -Jim

  • Love the travel vlogs! Thanks!

  • Hey Jason. Thanks for traveling along with me buddy! -Jim

  • I have never heard of fried pies. And that store was the tiniest I've ever seen lol!

  • Bea we have all sorts of things that will make your heart explode! LOL If it ain't fried, we don't much like it down South. LOL Thanks for watching. Maybe I'll catch you on stickam tonight. -Jim

  • WOW that was so much fun to watch! The music really added the extra touch. Love the Lincoln theatre...looked like the one in Back to the Future.

Some of those small towns look suspended in time. I can just picture a dirt road and horse and buggy's pulling up to the stores.

Love these sight seeing videos Jim. Drive safe.

  • Hi Bea. I just bought the Pinnacle Studio Ultimate video editing software and they have a feature called music score or something like that and it fits the music to the clip. Those little towns do seem suspended in time and I guess that's the reason I always try to share them. I go to the large cities also but it's the small towns that have all the charm. Thanks for watching -Jim

  • I just bought the same software Jim (BB had it on sale a couple of weeks ago) I'm scared! I haven't even installed it yet! Is it hard?

Or more like are you a whiz at editing?

  • Sheryl at first I thought it was going to be hard but once I got into it, I thought it was pretty easy to figure out. I mainly wanted the green screen chroma key feature and I've been able to figure everything out without reading the instructions. LOL You know guys never read the directions! LOL -Jim

  • Maybe that's why I'm scared

    I'm reading the directions, lol!

  • Well Jim my husband loves 'The West Wing' and I love 'Jack Daniel's' so something for everyone. Really enjoy seeing the layout and style of the towns and how they're decorated for special events and holidays. Cheers, Lesley

  • Lesley it's sounds like you and the husband have the perfect combination! LOL Thanks for riding along with me through Tennessee. I enjoy sharing all the little towns I pass through. -Jim

  • I miss the West Wing. And, I agree - the first four seasons were the best. We paid $89 for each season on DVD. Imagine that. The travel vlog was great Jim. You're in short sleeves - this morning we have three inches of snow.

Make more travel videos when you have time! They are great!

    - roc

  • Hi Roc. I just couldn't believe that I found those West Wing sets for $14.99 US. I really should have bought 5,6 and 7 also. It's actually very comfortable here in the afternoons. The mornings and evenings are cold. I'll try to make all the travel vlogs I can. Everyone seems to enjoy those. Have a great weekend Roc. -Jim

  • I love when you travel cause I am the passenger!

    Hope you are well

    Hugs

    Holly

  • Well MelancholyMomma I always save you a seat! LOL Thanks for riding through Tennessee with me this week. Have a great weekend. -Jim

  • Ironic isn't it that Lynchburg, home of Jack Daniel's is a dry county? Or at least it was while I lived in TN. Good to see you Jim!

  • Sheryle it's still a dry county. I guess it's the wettest dry county in the country. LOL Thanks for watching. Have a great weekend. -Jim

  • Absolutely beautiful scenery as usual. That campus was gorgeous. What, you didn't make the JD distillery tour? No free samples? ♥

  • Hi Vicky. Sewanee really is a beautiful little place all to itself. I've done the Jack Daniel's tour in years past and it's a dry county so they don't have free samples! LOL So, we had to skip that part. Thanks for watching. -Jim

  • Those were awesome pics! Thanks for letting us tag along with ya!

  • Hey Judy. Thanks for tagging along. It's always fun to travel with tubers! LOL -Jim

  • That's a terrific price for a season set, WOW!

Neat little towns, Jim. Why does Fayeteville remind me of Hazzard County (Dukes of Hazzard)?

Oh, and the Christmas stuff... is it REALLY that time of year already? I can't keep up!

  • Hey Curt. Yea I couldn't believe the prices on those season sets. Fayetteville might have a little Hazzard County in them but the Dukes of Hazzard was actually filmed in Georgia. LOL Can you believe all that Christmas stuff before Thanksgiving. It's way to early. -Jim

  • What part of East Tennessee were you in?

I love your Travel Vlog's you can't beat them..

    Thanks Jim

    Glenna

  • Hey there Glenna. I was up near Knoxville and then back over to middle TN. Thanks for riding along with me. -Jim

  • GOOD TO SEE YOU JIM.

  • Hey Moomay it's good to hear from you also. Thanks for watching dear! -Jim
