As a student at UCI, I'm quite aware of the problems concerning the MSU. We are one of the only UC's without a chapter of Students for Justice in Palestine and therefore the ideals of both SJP and MSU are unfairly lumped together.
Moreover, most students who are emotionally unaffiliated with the Palestine Israel conflict remain confused by the chaos, thereby proving MSU's antics pointless if not just causing trouble...

Think about it for a second. If Christianity was associated with Palestinians instead, I'm willing to bet that more Americans would care about the issue (due to it appearing relevant to them). There are Christian Palestinians as well.

Or they could take a secular approach and just highlight the living conditions of Palestinian human beings. In order for protests like the one in the video to succeed they need to make their message relatable to the general audience.
