I agree with aswanson80 it doesn't matter what branch you served in what matters is that they served. I was in the air force and served beside all branches when i deplyed to kuwait after 9/11. My little sister was in the navy in italy when the cole was bombed. Not to mention my grandfather in the pacific during WWII. Basically what i am saying is we put our lives on the line to defend the country we love no matter what uniform we wear.

I heard this song in the car while I was driving with my Marine on his leave. The sense of pride that I felt was one that I could not describe. He is still at combat training right now, but I worry everyday where he might be this time next year. I have to remind myself why he chose to enlist, and it is humbling to know how many men and women are out there willing to sacrifice their life for the freedom of our country. Thank you.

I remember seeing my dad off at the airport when I was 8. That time he was on his way to Korea for a year. I remember how much I missed him while he was gone. During the 23 years he was in the USAF he was gone for 13 out of the 23 years on unaccompanied tours of duty. I'm proud of my dad and all of our service men and women. Thank You for all you do.
Like seening their baby or missing the first year of thier life while you can sit back watch all that and come home at 5 for dinner when my husband and other soldiers dont get to see the first year of their life or see them born or even seen them at all. I remember seeing my dad off at the airport when I was 8. That time he was on his way to Korea for a year. I remember how much I missed him while he was gone. During the 23 years he was in the USAF he was gone for 13 out of the 23 years on unaccompanied tours of duty. I'm proud of my dad and all of our service men and women. Thank You for all you do.

Like seening their baby or missing the first year of thier life while you can sit back watch all that and come home at 5 for dinner when my husband and other soldiers dont get to see the first year of their life or see them born or even seen them at all. My dad is a marine.. and he has been a marine for about 18 years now. Every time he goes to Iraq.. i always listen to this song and it makes me think of him. Even though it makes me cry and miss him more.. I am happy that I can remember him by this song along with many other songs that go out to our troops.

My girlscout leader was in the national gaurd and went to quate. I know it isn't as bad as Iraq and that, but I was still worrid everyday if she would make it back home. Luckly she did.
