Looking forward to the next update. It will be good on the 7th anniversary of 09/11 there will actually be progress at reconstructing Ground Zero. That being said with Freedom Tower and the other new buildings taking a snails pace to rise from the ashes I agree with the popular fact that it would be quicker and much less expensive to rebuild the Twin Towers. I guess the people who designed the new building didn't have the balls to do that.

well a foundation is anything below grade it's what the building rises from or what it stands on. If it was a different owner or developer like Trump the damn thing would be half completed by now but the Port Authority and silverstein can't make up their damn mind on who should control what and who should build what but all i know is that i miss the World trade Towers they were magnificent in every way possible. The Freedom Tower will look nice im sure thats if it ever gets done.

Even not being american citisen it`s nice to follow progress..your vid is too fast though, try checking out some of the Chicago spire updates (with background music). What do you think about the Spire? I can tell by your ID you`re not in favor for the freedom tower? Why, i think by the 3d animations they look nice.
xenycexvlad they are getting stuff done the first part of construction is one of the hardest and longest process of constructing the building. On June 2 they put the core beams higher and connected some, it's harder work underground then you think, and ncstatester yes it is above street level, it just doesn't look like it from these pictures. It was first above street level on May 17th, i bet in Late August or early September the core will be at or above street level.
That's good to know. I look forward to your next update. Do you know if they plan on reconstructing the golden statue that was there too? That would be a fitting finishing touch.
I saw an article that some parts are now 15 feet above street level but is sure doesn't look like it from these pictures. It's good to see progress though.

Wikipedia confirmed that the entire core of the structure is around 20 feet above street level. so that's like 20 out of 1776 feet completed.
