Do you think a normal engine with headers, compition y pipe, cat back system with air intake and a new throddle body could handle a 75 shot. Also what systems do you think are the best, a dry or wet.

ANSWER: I didn't spend "so much" on this GT. I bought this car in 04 BRAND NEW fully loaded for $18K... At the time a 04 cobra was over $30K brand new... Over a $12K difference didn't really justify why I should purchase a terminator over a GT. If I really wanted to go all out, I could of invested that extra $12K in the GT and dropped in a blown fully built crate motor running 9's or 10's in the 1/4...
at the time. yes i would say you made the right decision buying the gt. but now that the cobra is a PROVEN competitor with mild mods. i definitly would of went with the 04 cobra. exhaust+ tune=450rwph
those 2v's cant really compete unless completely redone.. stroked.. forged.. heads/cam/turbo/blower,etc. nice ass car though rare to see these cars *that* fast
hahahaha that is dope dude, I got a 2004 Mustang GT too. Its a great car very nice and fun to drive, I plan on upgrading the exhaust but I'm not sure what I should do for the first upgrade. I was thinking BBK longtube headers, any help would be appreciated.
BBK long tubes were a bitch to put in. But they made the car sound great and gave some power. I would suggest getting a clutch before doing that because when I had to put my clutch in, the headers were in the way. BBK LT headers, H pipe, and Magnapacks sounded wicked. I couldn't tell you how many mustang owners around here wanted my setup. It was by far the deepest, loudest, sound you could get.
How loud would you say your exhaust setup is, 1-10, 10 being open headers. Im running a Flowmaster catback with a Bassani catted X and it's a little bit too quiet.
Very nice. I got a vid of my stang from 0-143 but your bolt ons really add up to a fast car. I have minor bolt ons but damn I need to spend some money. Nice vid! :)
To the Mach 1 guy. When you pull up next to a Cobra..your car will be "nothing". It does not matter what you drive. As long as "you" enjoy it. Now quit bashing on people who drive basically the same car as you. Its retarded.
Holy cow that was fast! so i take it that you have 75mm throttle and plenum combo, cold air kit, pulleys, aftermarket coils like msd or granatelli, long tubes, x/h pipe and aftermarket exhaust, gears, sport shifter, typhoon intake manifold and a tune(predator,sniper or sct xcalibrator) plus the nitrous. How much horsepower is your GT making? it has to make enough to beat a C6 corvette

A GT in STOCK trim has NOTHING on a Mach in STOCK trim..
But yes, a Mach has nothing on a Cobra.. Not even close to the same cars.. Just as a GT isn't even the same class as a Mach..

My car in FULL STOCK TRIM @ FULL WEIGHT ran a 13.1 on STREET TIRES. Not Drag Radials, STREET TIRES.
Your GT is NOT running 13.1's in STOCK trim.. Your bottle will run out, and your car will once again, be nothing. I don't give a fuck what you say.
