I really did not like the game. I was a huge fan of Dark Omen and shadow of the horned rat, but this game.. really did not capture anything those games had. They had heart.. or..some really invovling charcters and very dyanamic action with unique regiments. Here its .. very robotic and everything feels unreal. In those original warhammer games you had unique individuals leading regiments, for which u cared alot. Here its just.. pixels and polygon.

Some believe that the planet that warhammer takes place in is a feral planet in the 40k universe.

Many say that because of (like you said) the orks, elfs, choas elfs, empire, and so on, all relate to races in the 40k universe. There are other reasons, i heard one about there being a bolt pistol in warhammer. I don't play fantasy so i would not know if it was a weapon, scenery, part of an objective marker or what.

It looks better and in my opinion it players better. The PvP aspects trump WoW in every single way. That said WoW has a lot more content and a better PvE aspect to it. Given time I think War is capable of beating it on those fronts also. Time will tell. But either way, in my opinion War is better for the PvP minded and probably over all. Further proof will be the ratings post release. I'll bet it gets better than a 8.8 average like WoW did.

Actually i thought it was a nice game, play campagne mode first, it's not that bad. And besides it's a game based on Warhammer it's not entirely the same as the board game, you should keep that in mind. In holland it only costs 8 euro's or something. You just need to get used to the gameplay.
