is it a manual or automatic. if its a standard i bet its quick. i dont know a whole lot about when they came out with new types of fuel inection. i like carbs better, but i do understand how it all works. whats that engine's hp rating?
@dnl5649 Its a 5 speed manual. Out of factory its 142HP at the crank (Australian model). However power at the wheels I don't know yet as I haven't had it dyno'ed.
god your an idiot.. Please never sign on youtube and watch car videos again.. ever again. Turbo lmfao listen to that pos does it really sound fuckin turbo to you?
@pauLx022 no it doesnt. my neighbors volvo will revv all day and you cant hear the turbo. im not into fucking hondas and other japanese cars. im only into american cars. like ford, chevy, cadillac, jeep, dodge, and a couple of others.
@pauLx022 your ugly ass civic sounds like shit. thats a womans car, you should have gotten it painted baby blue to show all the other ricers what ur into :)
really??!!! hotrodding a civic!? what the? lets see how fast it is. do a 0-60 vid, i wanna see
@ikimus it must have closed cylinder heads, the american version of that car only puts out between 90 to 110. for some reason austrailian cars always have a higher compression ratio. here the emmissions are strict and the compression is usually around 8:1. that engine probably has a 10.5:1
every car below 1996 is obd1. obd1 computers dont have a exhaust backpressure sensor and dont usually have a m.a.f sensor. when you put a high flowing muffler on a obd1 car, the engine needs more fuel. if your engine runs lean, you shorten the life of the engine and also you dont gain any or not much horsepower by doing that because the computer doesnt automatically sense the no backpressure and add more fuel.
@dnl5649 Actually my car is an 89 model and 'OBD0'. OBD1 was 91 to 96. Plus my car runs fine not lean nor rich, I like the looks of this muffler and that is why I bought it for my car.
You're a complete idiot. OBD0 came before OBD-I. OBD-II was mandated in 1996, though many cars had OBD-II as early as 1994. Many cars (regardless of OBD system) have no MAF. Also, back pressure sensors are only used on diesel engines, you tool. Last, most engines run better when leaned out just a bit. Factory fuel maps are very conservative (See: Pig Rich) in order to keep combustion chamber temps down and because the public is stupid and don't maintain their cars. Ass.
