as an evil goa'uld i think Ra was better. Might have something to do with that he was so pretty but so evil. he looked like a girl to me but thats my opinion. Apophis pulled it off well cuz of his taking share and skarra but Ra will always be my fav
id imagine like he says or they for time consumption saving cut that out and let you decide they dialed themselves using there tech like teal'c does in another episode. i think they leave it open for you to imagine they dialed out while you were seeing hammond and reinforcements come to getthem
Apparantly it was a 2-way wormhole. Not sure if it was simple oversight on the part of the director/editor, or if they're implying Apophis had a program or device that allowed such a wormhole stowed away on Chulak.
Could they not have dialed out manually? The gap before the arrival of the reinforcement seems long enough to me. Shouldn't be very hard with that many Jaffa.
i just wanted to say to those of you who might wonder, that this is not the director's cut which was released a few months earlier than these videos were posted. thanks for the upload!
quite a lot actually. while the directors cut has different musical cues, has tweaks to the graphics here and there, and has a couple of scenes cut or added, they also put in different takes of certain scenes. in fact, i prefer the original in some scenes because it feels more humorous or i guess... the way it did when i first saw it
sound is terrible. can't hear the speech. *thumbs down*

We saw the incoming wormhole close again at 3:12, so Apophis must have had a doohickey to open it again on his own side.

In the book, they dial out by manually turning the ring. Also, Apophis takes the symbiotes from the dead Jaffa with him.
