  • At first I was pissed that it was sped up but since I'm so stoned right now it sounds awesome.

  • this isn rammstein...this is the smurfs

  • What version is this? It's not the original or video version, but it has the video version's intro part.

  • my right ear enjoyed that

  • This song has a different singer to the original Haifisch...

  • @PrinceOfDarkness111 no it doesn't?

  • Danke :-) ❤❤❤

  • Why watch this and then vote it down?

  • Why are there two versions? The other version does not have the trumpets at the beginning and is deeper (voice and instrument wise) .

  • when i die they must play this song at my funeral

  • You did a good job translating but you made a mestake auf halten (pardon my lack of an umlaut) means to stop not to slow down.

  • how come, that whenever when i hear this song, i have to think of bertholt brecht?

  • I wish Lutheran masses sang Rammstein instead of hymns :(

  • awesome song

  • Cheesus Nugget.. I wanted to see what people think of the song, but all I see is replies to other people here. xD

  • @Desusaize Not everybody is replying. Read all posts, mate ^_^

  • @BlueSoul6 I did, lmao. But it are more replies than comments to be honest.

  • Excellent video! Really helps with me learning German :D

  • people should stop calling them and other Germans nazi's.

these days, more american teens are neonazis than german teens. I'm just saying

  • i never new this song was about a emotional shark and stuff, i through it was about a funeral.

  • @Rockchicksyco Erm the shark is a metaphor for manly men.....

  • @Rockchicksyco Both the song and the video are about rumours that they were disbanding for other projects, the funeral was basically equating leaving the band to dying.

  • i don't know why people think Germans are all nazis!

Most of them aren't! They hate this phsychopath!!!!!!

  • My buddy sung this song today for the talent show today :) couldn't believe he could sing in german, he got second place

  • I can't get enough of this awesome song! <3 Rammstein 4eva! :D

  • ich lerne deutsch in schule...es ist gut zu lerne deutsch

  • 1.5 speed is the best!!!!!

  • ich bin richtig froh, dass ich deutsche bin, wenn ich rammstein hör ^-^

  • I am so obsessed with this song. I love the intro and the beat so much and German is such an awesome language.

  • I love Rammstein and German is one of the best languages in the world! What a combination!

  • this is one of the most catchy of rammstein songs

  • why is there a picture of james helfield?

  • I stopped my porn for this.

  • I just became the #1000 liker of this video! \\m//

  • i hate this language but the song is great!

  • @LadyVampIrene you hate the language but you call yourself a vampire ! If I were not so merciful toward your stupidity I would have you hung by your achilles tendons and slowly bleed over a long period of time ! The original vampire film "Nosfaratu" was filmed by Germans in German and English subtitles you uneducated retard!

  • @jjj255able first, i chose the name a year ago and for us who are still young, you have to remeber that we change easily over even only a year! "oh, my lord, i thank you deeply for your mercy..." is that what you want me to say? like, if you didn't have "mercy" what would you call me, a whore? secondly, you dare use greek mythology to me? haha you're pathetic! and of course, the movie is called NOSFERATU and i don't really care if it was filmed by aztecs!

  • @jjj255able if you allow me to continue, i still feel awfuly when i hear this language, spoken by the worse of the criminals, and you can call me anything you want, but i hate hitler, the nasistic bastard, who many still follow! the fact that i like a song, doesn't change anything! and the last, how DARE you call me uneducated AND retard! i'm soooo sure i am much more educated than "merciful" people like you! αχίλλειος πτέρνα... did you google it first to write it? so pathetic!

  • @jjj255able "Merciful toward your stupidity." You suffer stupidity lightly, how very gracious of you. I myself do not. "Nosferatu" is a very poor 1922 German adaptation of Bram Stoker's Dracula; the film, its producers and the language have absolutely no bearing on the vampire mythos whatsoever. Prince Vladislaus III, whose barbarism would earn him the moniker Dracula, the father of vampire culture, was Romanian. You really should check your facts before you start calling people uneducated.

  • Sehr gut!! Ich liebe Rammstein <3

  • I have a sneaking suspicion that you, uploader, want comments, thumbs up, and subscriptions. I will deliver.

  • Wtf what version is this? Till's voice isn't deep at all and there's an extra awesome intro?

  • my parents are like "are you nazi? you listen to their music and you went to germany last year, and you love anything that is german" but it is true im half german lol

  • @wolf97102 Your not alone

  • my parents walk into my room while im listening to this and now they think im a nazi >_<

  • @21piercing21 OMG, they're bastards ! How can they think that ? May the shark eat them ^_^ XD [just kidding !]

  • @BlueSoul6 roflmao

  • @21piercing21 Are you serious?! Your parents suck then! Lol JK but they shouldn't think that.... It's stupid. No. It's frigging retarted. Nuff said.

  • @kingLorshi you need a damn medal for that comment

  • @21piercing21 U serious? :D

  • @kingLorshi hell yeah

  • @21piercing21 find a jewish friend and act suspicious around him ^^

  • @nolan30000 kinda reminds me of when my dad thought W.A.S.P stood for white anglo saxon protestant :p

  • @nolan30000 thats pricless

  • @21piercing21 Time to buy a pair of breech trousers and jackboots.

  • @cincstarfleet lmao

  • @21piercing21 when people make nazi comments while im listning to rammstein i get really pissed off and tellem to fuck off and move out of the 40's

  • @kogaKageOokami ik ik my parents are jewish and still think about WW2 they need to suck it up ya know?

  • @kogaKageOokami Like I said to 21piercing21, time to buy a pair of breech trousers and jackboots. Learn to goose-step, to emphasize the pants and boots, all while listening to Rammstein. You will raise eyebrows, I guarantee it!

  • @21piercing21 Same w/ mine mom

she thought i was a satanist loving Nazi fuckhole....

but i told her it was german and im looking at the lyrics

  • @radioguysbrother lol nice

  • @21piercing21 she looked and saw it was and realized im not some Nazi

  • @21piercing21 omg ... you cant listen to the music as you want ? ... and then ... who is nazi .. you or your parents ..

  • Comment removed

  • @21piercing21 Das ist sehr lustig.

  • @Polychrotidae Ja ist es

  • @21piercing21 lol

least u werent listening to the song "hitler" XD

  • @mogogrog lmao

  • @21piercing21

LOL my mom fucking called me a Nazi after I got a German language tattoo. It says "Frei zu sein" (to be free, it's a good song by a German medieval band called In Extremo). I don't even have time to validate such ignorance with arguing.

  • @liveyoungdiefast91 i hear ya

  • @liveyoungdiefast91 So by that argument, anyone who doesn't share your interests, attitude and chain of reasoning is ignorant. How arrogantly presumptive of you; and rather ironic, considering the Nazi's were well known for such elitism.

  • @cincstarfleet Bad logic. Hey you think you're higher than some people, therefore you're elitist and the Nazi's were also elitists thus you're as bad as them. That's called a logical fallacy.

  • @TheDirtysouthfan A logical error in logic, now there's a contradiction in term. I'm hoping that little lecture of yours didn't gratify your ego any, because if it did that makes you as elitist as I and a shockingly bad hypocrite to boot.

  • @liveyoungdiefast91 considering (i presume she doesn't know the song which is awsome btw)she was kinda right to be worried because one of the nazi slogans was "arbeit macht frei" and maybe the frei got her thinking....

  • @21piercing21 my parents introduced me to this music :P

  • @rockrulez66 thats some pretty col parents dude

  • @21piercing21 Your parents are racist dumbasses then. Just sayin.

  • @21piercing21 Sieg Heil parents!!Hahahah..

  • @avlopaoki haha

  • @21piercing21 Don't worry about it.... just send'em to Auschwitz, they will fix'em up.....hahahaha..

    Great music, great group...no worries...

  • @gocadd34 lmao i laughed so hard at that lol and i agree

  • @21piercing21 My mom thinks I'm a nazi as well, because she thinks that they make songs about being a nazi, but doesn't know a single word they are saying

  • 14 people like to see sharks cry :..(

  • @Xx0SSkurxX Yeah, it's their problem if they don't like the song :D. That's why YouTube put a 'dislike' button there :P

  • @BlueSoul6 But still shouldnt be hating on your video. Btw I think its amazing ^..,^ But Im a little german..

  • @BlueSoul6 14 people obviously dont know what good music is

  • @Legion5600 Leave them alone... Is their problem if they don't know what good music is :)

I don't care how many people disliked the video, I care how many people like good music. Hail Rammstein \m/ !

  • every time i listen to this song it hurts me more i now how it is that some one hurts you so i now that it is not neat thet they dont see the tears *_*

  • 1:50 - 2:20 it is really an eargasm.

  • @TheRammsteinfan no no no my friend 1:50 - 2:20 is not an eargasm...0:00 - 4:32 is an eargasm

  • @deathbysunrise66 I think 0:31 - 0:38 is pretty neat as well. Love that keyboard; sets the beat perfectly.

  • This song is about the band. It's about trust between the bandmembers but also about the loyality to their fans (we're loyal to you). The park about the sahrk means that they might seem calm to the public but there is still arguments etc. in the band the fans doesn't know about. The video for Haifisch symbolizes that the band can't pare one of the members.

    Rammstein Rocks!

  • rammstein РУЛИТ , КЛАСС, КРУТО. Самая классная группа.

  • I think mainly they speaks of themselves: "We hold each other by the arm, six hearts that burn, the fire keeps you warm". They may sounds cruel in their song, or strong, or ruthless, but they keep their feelings deep inside and when they come out they are uneasy to see for what they are. But i think the "salt" in their "wasser" is not so uneasy to find: songs like Spieluhr, or Engel, or many others, have such a deep sensibility that is impossible not to be touched.

  • isin't this song about finning, though?

  • did you know that it makes no difference legally if you write " i do not own this song" in the description? it does not protect you from lawsuits or copyright warnings

and trust me, nobody thought you owned this song anyway..

  • to me this song sounds like an old drunken sailors song...only rammsteinified and awesome!

  • @faceless0516 Haha Rammsteinified. I love it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! that should be a new word!

  • This song is both super catchy, and beautiful. But hey, what else should I expect from Rammstein?

  • da ist ein fehler es heißt,, träne nicht zähre´´ im text

  • @Lucien45Rauch Nein, das heisst "Zähre"! Ist ein altes deutsches Wort für Träne

  • these lyrics............. are beautiful

  • the sea water is salty because a shark is crying tears no one sees, interesting!

  • is there more meaning to this song than just saing that shark is crying cuz i want to know :D thx

  • @BaneslayerAngel95 In my opinion: Another meaning of this song can be that everyone cries when no one can see them. We all have tears, but we won't let them free until we know that "no one sees the tears" :)... We act like that shark in the song.

  • @BlueSoul6 i get it now it makes so much sense because most of rammstein songs have some deeper meaning :D

  • @BlueSoul6 This song is inspired by a german theater called "Dreigroschenoper" by Berthold Brecht. :)

The original song is about Macki Messer who is a murderer.

  • @BlueSoul6 wow you cracke the secret german enigma code ! You are such a deep , methaphorical dark genius ! No hang out at starbucks with your latop and try to pick up on 18 year old naive hippster retards !

  • @BlueSoul6 It can also mean we cry wen we r lonely. as it mentions sticking together through almost anything (paraphrased) yet the shark is by himself, so he cries and now our seas are salty

  • @BaneslayerAngel95

Shark is the king of the seas , you respect him, you bow to him , it his kingdome.

But you dont know - he acctually cries alot , even though he looks so strong.

Also , sharks , can try to harm the leader shark , if you lead a group of sharks , would you trust them ?

So a shark is also a leader and also someone who can harm you --- very wise song , it sings about powerful leader and the problems of leading other powerful people.

Thats my opinion , hope that answers ...

  • @Ishaibin85 there can be many interpretations of this song so i wanted t ohear some1 else opinion

thy it helped a lot :D

    ps sry for bad eng

  • @BaneslayerAngel95 I think they used shark because there generally associated with being merciless vicious killing machines and one of the last animals you would associate with crying

  • @TruelyBaroqueKing possible

  • @BaneslayerAngel95 we live in a society where any weakness shown is looked down upon you. Hence the shark in water.

  • i think the shark need's a tissue

  • wow,the lyrics is just amazing !

  • almost 100k views :D

  • this has got to be one of the most easiers rammstein songs to sing ^^

  • @warriorofsteel01 du hast is easiest

  • @megaREfan Waidmanns heil is easy if you talk fast.

  • WOAH! XD IT SOUNDZ LIKE AN OOMPA LOOMPA IZ SINGING IT! XDDD

  • That was great. I like the song, very catchy beat, and its nice nice to get the translation, so you know what they are singing about.

  • ein gutes lied. :)

  • FAQ: Why is the song longer / high pitched ?

Answer: I ripped the audio from their VIDEO. I didn't changed the song, I only took the audio from the "Haifisch" video

  • @BlueSoul6 i think that its the other way that is :

no one wants to see the tears of somone else and that

is wy everyone feels some times that he or she is lonley

  • @marthijn99 Yeah, probably it has that meaning too. Everyone has an opinion and we can't change it. Anyway, I still think this song it's awesome :D

  • @marthijn99 tanks for the reaction i think its so deep i almost cry the first time i saw the lyrics

  • 13 people were killed by a HAIFISCH

  • hi im german and this song is... i say it in german:scheiße

  • @benni2000100 fuck you - its an awesome song.

  • @FullMetalAlcohol fuck you ashoel

  • @benni2000100 It's spelled asshole, dearie.

  • why does it seem higher pitch then the official video?

  • GENIUS SONG!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • how come it kinda sounds different from the actual album one

  • thumbing up and commenting cause rammstein would do so ^^

  • 13 people are afraid of sharks

  • 13 people will get eaten by a halfish :)

  • I can't believe they are breaking up :(

  • @iwillbeapornstar really?! 0.0

  • @LadyWolf84 ya after this tour they are most likely breaking up Till is going insane and the band keeps talkin behind his back and stuff so i heard they are breaking up :(

  • @iwillbeapornstar oh my it's terrible...uff they started together rich and Till they can't break up now after 17 years i hope it won't happen...i hope thi is only i nightmare O.O

  • I just realized this includes a bloody tribute to a kabaree piece from pre-WW II Germany! Mackie Messer:

"Und der Haifisch, der hat Zähne

Und die trägt er im Gesicht

Und MacHeath, der hat ein Messer

Doch das Messer sieht man nicht"

    - Till is a ficking genius! And to those of you who still can't get over those nazi associations, kabaree was a very jewish thing back then. And otherwise shocking and immoral as well; Rammstein of the time.

  • I wish i knew wtf this song was about....Lots of hidden meanings in thier songs..takes alot of thinking

  • This song is fucking awesome

  • @BoroStud135

    Agreed!

  • 12 people will be eaten by die Haifisch.

  • eigentlich ganz okey, aber der bass is müll :DD

aber deutsch / englisch text find ich cool :)

    -> Germany for Ever.

  • @Wurstbrot6 nice google translation, but if you spoke german, you would put deutschland f'u'r immer, so stop trying to be german you little faker

  • huhuhu :'(

  • my german teacher played this exact video

  • @apupnamedgrace wish I had a teacher like yours, but it's a pity I don't study German

  • @apupnamedgrace awesome german teacher then

  • @apupnamedgrace well u got a badass german teacher compared to mine :P

  • Good job, makes it easy to follow - Thanks

  • very beautiful lyrics :)

  • Und der Haifisch!!! Gotta love Rammstein..

  • very high pitch hahaha

  • Now what is this song about? Rammstein doesnt like to make music anymore or wtf? :D

  • Thanks for putting this translation up along with the original lyrics--it really helps people whose German isn't that great (like me). However, I wonder why the pitch of the music and vocals is this high.

  • sad sad little shark
