I live about a half hour from Eckley where alot of the movie was filmed. I worked at the PCC two years ago which helps maintain the old village and I'm proud to say the town hasn't changed from the mining days to the movie days to the present day. I see americans get asked who the president is or where is iraq on a map and some Americans don't know the answer but ask a NE Pennsylvanian who the mollies we're and you'll get an answer for sure.
I was born and raised in the area where this movie was made and I knew some of the decendents of the people that the movie was about.
I no longer live in the area and haven't been for over 30 years but it brings back a lot of pride for being from the coal regions of Pennsylvania and great memories of my childhood.
This is a lovely piece of music....one of my favorites. Thanks for giving us the pleasure of listening to it. Both James Galway and Mancini are fantastic together. God Bless the Molly Maguires......

I am going to have it played at my funeral.

Is the Molly Maguires soundtrack on CD? I like the Hills of Yesterday song on the soundtrack, but can not find it anywhere.

It's so pretty! My mum used to listen to this cd a lot... I was actually looking for the flute jig that's on it too...

I picked up the cd from my dad's house already, so I have it here. I can listen to it
