Old-school 1-finger right-hand tapping. Unless it's a top player,using more than 1 finger of the right hand to tap usually leads to a "Nintendo" sound: Less energy, less feeling. It's necessary when playing complex music like Stanley Jordan does, but for rock soloing, it's a stronger sound when using only 1 right hand finger..

Paul is the best, but he also forgot to mention you need a 12 inch long pinky to play this. I can only get four frets of separation between my index and pinky if I put my left hand on top of the neck instead of under lol!
