  • Good on you, Jennifer-Thanks so much for teaching how to propagate lilacs.

  • I love Lilacs ♥ xD

  • always clean your cutting tools with rubbing alcahol between usages because you can spread disease on the tree or from tree to tree.

cut off the seed heads to insure more flowering for next year

    have fun

  • @poosaypirate also- prune directly after flowering becuas the buds for next year set relatively soon after that, which means if you wait too long, you are potentially and probably unknowingl cutting off next years wonderful blossoms (!watch out!)

  • @poosaypirate do you know what those little blueish flowers are in front of her? I grew up with them and they smell like grapes if Im not mistaken....

  • @EyeWearMySunglasses some sort of iris, a wild one it appears, you have to look it up yourself after that , may take some time on image searches but eventually you should hit it .

  • this was really helpful for transplanting the babies for the suckering plant we have (Aronia melanocarpa). Thanks so much!

  • good video, where do you make the cut when pruning the seed heads?

  • Wonderful - thank you for this.

I learned a lot and you about lilac and even how to propagade. You seem so nice too, smiling and kind....

Have a wonderful summer in your New England garden :-)
