This was a good game, but to be honest, the year before's win by the Badgers over Auburn was a much more entertaining game, this game still rocked, though.

no, coming from an arkansas fan mcfadden was healthy, but we were rotating the two worst quarterbacks in the sec so wisconsin NEVER had to worry about the pass, which only makes our running game that much more impressive. add in the fact that this was the second huge game our kicker blew for us, by missing two easy field goals, this game could have gone to overtime very easily. good game anyway
Wisconsin didn't exactly play flawless, either. Arkansas may have shut down Wisky's running game, but their passing game made the difference. Wisconsin was one or two plays away from it being a 24-7 laugher instead of a 17-14 nailbiter.
Arkansas held Wisconsin to -5 rushing yards, but still couldn't beat them. And Wisconsin controlled the game from the second quarter onward. If not for a late Hogs score, the Badgers would have won 17-7. I think Wisconsin deserved a BCS berth. Amazingly, Wisconsin finished the best in the Big Ten, with only one Big Ten loss, in a closer loss to Michigan than Ohio State's loss to Florida.
But then again, there's nothing at all shameful about ending up in the Citrus Bowl, since that was one of the two places considered for the 1986 national championship (the other was the Fiesta Bowl, which they chose).
I think the game should become a BCS bowl and named the Florida Citrus Bowl again, or if they must use a sponsor, the "Capital One Florida Citrus Bowl".
The only real reason Wisconsin wasn't in the BCS was OSU and Michigan were already in, and the rules are max of two from each conference, without that rule they most likely would have played LSU in New Orleans. Which is also what kept Arkansas out since LSU and Florida were in for that matter. Other than kicking out Notre Dame all the other teams really belonged in those bowls so they probably would have sent Arkansas over Wisconsin anyway.

Even if that pathetic excuse was true, it would look even worse on mcfadden's part. What NFL team would want a running back that starts "jogging" after he breaks a couple tackles.

Im a badger fan and I can admit that overall the SEC is better than the Big Ten (in football) but you should know that the Big Ten went 2-1 in bowl games last year against the SEC. But I care mostly about UW and lately they have owned the SEC 24-10 against Auburn in '05 and Arkansas last year.

Arkansas never really had a chance in this game because they had absolutely no passing offense what-so-ever. And against a defense as good as Wisconsin's, you can't come into a game and rely soley on your rushing attack. That's what Arkansas did and they lost.

Arkansas did not Kick Wisconsin's ass off the scoreboard. Your best RB Darren McFadden, besides that long run, averaged about 2 yards per carry. And of course your passing game was NONEXISTENT LIKE USUAL.
(89 - 45) / (19 - 1) = 2.4. Similarly for Hill you get: (36 - 6) / (19 - 1) = 1.66. So even with that strange logic of ignoring the longest run McFadden did much better than Hill.
And in the overall yardage Arkansas did totally kick Wisconsin's ass: 368 vs. 201. And the Arkansas passing game gave them 136 yards versus 201 for Wisconsin. Hardly nonexistent, especially when compared with the running yardage amassed by Wisconsin: -5. So you're wrong... on all accounts.

The only real reason Wisconsin wasn't in the BCS was OSU and Michigan were already in, and the rules are max of two from each conference, without that rule they most likely would have played LSU in New Orleans. Which is also what kept Arkansas out since LSU and Florida were in for that matter. Other than kicking out Notre Dame all the other teams really belonged in those bowls so they probably would have sent Arkansas over Wisconsin anyway.

Yeah. But at least Wisconsin got up to win the Capital One bowl unlike most good teams who are the odd man out like Oregon in 2005 and Cal in 2004. Both teams were good, though, Arkansas was 10-2 regular season and 7-1 in the SEC, tied with Florida's conference record, despite the 50-14 loss to USC early, they bounced back and even gave Florida a game.

Arkansas committed 120 yards of penalties and missed a 23 yard field goal, that probably had something to do with their loss. By the way, the big ten went 2-6 in bowl games and 0-2 in bcs games while the SEC went 6-3 in bowl games and 2-0 in BCS games.

Im a badger fan and I can admit that overall the SEC is better than the Big Ten (in football) but you should know that the Big Ten went 2-1 in bowl games last year against the SEC. But I care mostly about UW and lately they have owned the SEC 24-10 against Auburn in '05 and Arkansas last year.

BadgerDomination2 and every badger fan who's questioniong D-Mac's speed, if I remember correctly, he suffered an ankle sprain versus the SEC Title game. D-Mac wasn't even playin at 100% and still ran 40 yards on the first play! If you want to see 100% SEC speed, look at Felix Jones 70 yard run around 2:04 where he burned all of Wisconsin's slow bastards.

Anyway, the Badgers over the last decade have dominated the Pac-10 SEC in bowl games over the past decade going like 8-2. If there was playoffs the Badgers would've had at least two championships since 1999.

Arkansas never really had a chance in this game because they had absolutely no passing offense what-so-ever. And against a defense as good as Wisconsin's, you can't come into a game and rely soley on your rushing attack. That's what Arkansas did and they lost.

Everybody talks about stats on offence, but nobody talks about DEFENCE! You can drive 99 yards on every posession, then throw an interception and have it returned for a touchdown. offence isn't everything. In the end, the only thing that matters is the scoreboard. Arkansas did not Kick Wisconsin's ass off the scoreboard. Your best RB Darren McFadden, besides that long run, averaged about 2 yards per carry. And of course your passing game was NONEXISTENT LIKE USUAL.

(89 - 45) / (19 - 1) = 2.4. Similarly for Hill you get: (36 - 6) / (19 - 1) = 1.66. So even with that strange logic of ignoring the longest run McFadden did much better than Hill.

And in the overall yardage Arkansas did totally kick Wisconsin's ass: 368 vs. 201. And the Arkansas passing game gave them 136 yards versus 201 for Wisconsin. Hardly nonexistent, especially when compared with the running yardage amassed by Wisconsin: -5. So you're wrong... on all accounts.
