Why single out Apple? PCs are made in China, they have a much bigger market.

Greenpeace wants money, that's clear. But they have to be smarter than that. I guess they expect, since Apple users have, as a group, higher purchasing power, education, and higher IQ (according to surveys), they think they'll win them over easily.

But, really, it's the PC dump grounds in Africa that's the problem. The UK alone is exporting tons of them.

Thing here though is they want the companies to create green products, that's not bad, alot of places are already going lead free and getting ROHS standards online. Thing is the massive amount of old technology, the companies that produced it have no control over it anymore. It's sad really that developing countries are buying it to scrap it, and the worst part is they are doing it the cheap dirty way, exp. burning copper wire to remove the vinyl insulation. Many of those elements are put in to avoid other, more pressing hazards...like, oh, I don't know, how about keeping a laptop from catching on fire?
