This is my absolute favorite movie. I was never able to watch it when I was young and I was always curious about it. My dad used to say "It's a daddy movie". Then one day, he finally said, I want you to watch this movie, I think you will like it and I put it off, not interested...then finally I watched it and I am obsessed. Thanks Dad :)

Maybe because this film, though 'made' to attract a certain audience, also has the ring of truth in it. Having lived in San Diego during the years the film was set in, I can say it caught the feeling / dreams / attitudes / drama / games, of the time and of the players in the crazy world that was 'being with the band' . i love that part where it finally dawns on penny how crazy in love william was with her. you could see it in her face, the exact moment when the realization hit her. and then she looks outside and sees william running inside the airport building trying to keep up with the plane as it takes off, waving like mad at her. and it only confirms what she's just found out.

It was the moment she realized that for all the times Russell hurt her, He was always there, and because of that she got the courage to finally "tell" Russell goodbye and go to Morocco for real instead of talking about it and find herself.
