Why are you showing us this? We see enough of that on tv with all the bad images of romania. Show the good part cuz everyone knows the bad part! I don't think you want people to recognize our country by that...

Why am I showing it? Read the discription. It was from a mission trip back in 1993. The purpose is not to show the country as it is today. It is primarily for those in our community who wanted to know about our trip there rather than a video to comment about Romania. The discription states what it is.

Mission trip..yeah go do a mission trip to iraq and save some kids there, and don't try posting things like this on youtube, you're only making ur life more miserable. Romania has their problems just like other countries and that's all I have to say. Your video makes no sense here.

Maybe these videos shoud be labeled (something like "Humanitarian Mission Trip to Romania in 1993", otherwise you might be insulted, because people easily get offended by such pictures that throw their country into a bad light... We are very sensible regarding our image. All sorts of people try to degrade Romania's image.

The pics are of street children because that is what we were there to do - refurbish a building that was going to be used to house them. The slide show is for the purposes of reporting back to the people who sent us there what we did. It is not and was not intended to be a complete picture of Romania.

Maybe there's a hidden meaning in this photo collection... Or maybe you wanted to show life as-it-is in some areas of my country. Yes. We have our street-children as you have yours. Yes. We have very poor people living in degraded houses, as you have your people living under bridges or in the streets... And yes, some of us still travel by chariots... And after all that, I'm still proud to be a Romanian. Are you proud to be an American?

These are pictures from a trip in the early 90's, just after Nicolae Ceaucescu was forced from power and exectued. Romania is a beautiful country with extraoridinary architure, fertile farm land, and beautiful mountians. You should be proud to be Romanian.
