Yes, I used photoshop CS 4 and imported the video, I created a transparent layer ontop of the video, and traced over each frame with my Wacom tablet..
You could always print out all the frames of your video (really low print quality) and trace them the traditional way.. you'd have to have a good method of keeping them all organized though so you don't mess up the frame order. Just remember to limit your fps to 12 or so..

This is the coolest thing ever. Only thing that could have made it better would be a huge guitar amp and real drums, but DAMN fine job on the animation.
you really made it work well, I can tell you took your time with each frame. I love how you printed it out and shot it frame by frame too, looks really cool. Good luck with the contest, I hope you end up with a shiny new guitar.

What was the frame rate? 260 / 22 seconds = @11.8?
Does Youtube compress and interfere with frame rates?

@weaponEX Framerate was 12.

@weaponEX As far as interfering.. I don't know.. It seems to retain the original 12 fps clarity..

Very nice piece of work! Can I ask, how exactly did you trace the images? Using tablet, or what?

@phexus82 Ah, I don't have a tablet. I will have to try a different technique. Thanks for the response.

@phexus82 Yeah, I was thinking about drawing over the backlit printed frames... Anyway, thank you for the advice.
