the way he plays and allows phrases to sing and breathe, have space between them shows how PIERCINGLY beautiful and expressive Chopin's music is. he INVITES you to not just hear chopin's lines but actually to finish those lines with deep satisfaction. the piano TRULY sings in his playing.

Yes, extraordinary, even without listening to rest of the movements. ( I can not find them anywhere.) Now I am all excited about this artist. What are CD sellers of Japan doing? They make us listen Lipatti, Rubinstein, Argerich, Pollini, etc (they are great in their own right) but not Oleg Boshniakovich. That is outrageous.
Oops. Silly me. I found the rest of sonata. And how glad I am I did! For me, b minor sonata used to be Gilels's 1976(I think) DG recording period
I thought I did not need any other recording, Lipatti or Argerich or otherwise.
But from today, I need this recording along with Gilels recording, which I sadly do not have anymore. And is it just my ears? I hear all kinds of resemblances between the two recordings!
Absolutely beautiful and such a wonderful passionate interpretation!
