  • Wat about Oovoo?

  • use wireless on your mobile and its free right?

  • I have had skype on my mobile for years...

  • hahaha during the video when the skype sounds went off i checked my skype to see if someone was calling me

  • GET:`,.VERIZON;:`IPHONE,.`:FREE,.,.:

    COPY::'THE,.,.;URL`,.;

  • Type PRIZE before youtube and hit enter

  • skype mobel.

  • is it free for mobile bb

  • BY the way people!! Skype just announced that you can do skype video chats from your phone on iphone. So Im guessing they will for android eventually, for all you verizon people. If not, you better hope that the iphone comes to verizon! :)

  • But I don't have a friend like jack! ( 2:00 )

  • @elftoes888 jack is like a variable in math such as X. X can mean any number you want it to be or X can be the number of what the solution proves it to be. So jack can mean what ever friend you want it to be

  • The catch to this is you can call from your phone, but the person in another country who you are trying to reach, has to be on their computer. You can't use Skype Mobile to contact someone else on their cell phone. And, whether the other person has internet access in a foreign country is iffy. When my daughter was going to Austria this past May we thought that each of us having Skype Mobile was going to be the way we would make calls. Wrong!

  • i wish there was video chat on this tho it would make it 10 times better

  • i love skype on my computer it is awsome and i use it every day...well most of the time

  • HEyy! CheCk OUt MY drOId! Commercial!! please!! :D

  • can they see you

  • @taylorm4rlowe how about we just relax

  • WOW LOVELY

  • i wont be impressed until i can make mobile to mobile (not mobile to computer) skype calls for free to my international friends!

  • VERIZON ROCKS!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • this shit is sooo BOSS

  • who the fuck is zack

  • @thecoolbrian he's your evil twinnnn! XD

  • I just downloaded this app for my BlackBerry Curve-it works great! I called one of my friends and the call quality was great. This is a great service-and its really cool that verizon has it. I have had a lot of good experieces with Skype in the past and its good to see it on my BlackBerry.

  • It just auto downloaded on my Verizon Blackberry last night

  • Alot of you are misinformed about the Verizon Skype Merger. It is still possible to use Skype on other carriers but the version of Skype for Verizon offers alot of added functionality. The biggest of which being the fact that Skype for Verizon will run on its 3G network as opposed to strictly wifi on other carriers networks. This is a good thing because the 3G networks of AT&T and T-Mobile are largely composed of popsicle sticks and chewing gum.

  • It's not good thing.

Skype is avaible from when i remember.

Now only verizon users can use it.

    Suck

  • It starts at the end of March, and im getting my Droid tuesday. My boyfriend lives in England till next year and im so excited to use this with him

  • Excellent! I have both Skype and Verizon and didn't know they merged until now. Too cool! Verizon is the only company I'll use bcs they have the BEST customer service. You couldn't pay me to use AT&T.

  • Verizon rocks! Love this new feature, can't believe it's free though. Yay!

...there's gotta be a catch somewhere

  • How soon will this be effective ?

  • The most condescending voice-over I've heard in a long, long time.

  • Skype's being a real dick about the whole partnership with Verizon though. They pulled their apps off the Windows Marketplace (for windows mobile), the Android Marketplace, several other mobile OS's, and maybe even their iPhone app soon. Hopefully they put them back up soon, maybe they're just updating them.

  • Most annoying voice EVER!

  • @mjm2005 FUCK YOU.

  • WHENNNN ?????

  • @worldwidejase

other country use a different type of wireless for there phones so unless you have a world edition pone your phone will not work in most other countries anyway

  • @worldwidejase: is it really that big of deal?

  • @codymws To be internationally roaming on 3G and make unlimited calls back to the States.. no more wifi scouting or surprise roaming charges.. yes, for the U.S. based world traveler, that's a total game changer, and that big of a deal.

  • Verizon is VERY careful NOT to say if "she" can be anywhere in the world, too. Jack is in Pisa, Sydney, Giza, Istanbul, Rio & Paris, but he and her other friends are always on laptops. She is on cell w/ the English words "food" & "coffee" (implying an English speaking USA), but the narrator says only, "in your world" and draws her over the Atlantic. What if she has a Verizon Global Phone w/the unlimited int'l data plan and "her world" is on an island off the coast of Brazil or English Sydney?

  • ur an idiot

  • its even better then normal phone, its the future calling!

  • Big Red does it again. Bow down Big Blue!

  • Sweetness

  • yeah but you cant video chat from your phone like phones in korea

  • :08 - "THESE phones run more than one app at a time." SLAM!

  • <3 BECCAAA!!!

  • awesome

  • can u video?

  • ok cool but can u video chat?

  • @garussell2010 Once LTE(4G) is on Verizon and there are phones with two way cams then you will be able to.

  • You rock, Sparky!

  • Finally!

  • this is pretty sweet

  • Wow, that's rad, Becca. But I need an app that will let me talk to other people besides Jack.

  • Awesome Becca!

  • That's my voice!

  • At&t's Network couldnt handle this.

  • @grkthug18 Um, why do you say that, lol? It totally could

  • @grkthug18 sry guys im a traitor i got a iphone 4

  • awesome
