It was a pretty place to grow up, but great shopping? No. If you need clothes or even a simple pair of socks, you won't find it in Chagrin. The Havre's and the Department Store are gone, no more Touch of Lace, Paul's Men's Store, just a bunch of useless boutiques. It has become just too twee.

I live in Chagrin and love it! We have awesome schools, fun traditions, and we are a rather safe place. Oh, and you F***king racists who say chagrin is all white, I thought you might want to know that my best friends who live in chagrin are Indian and African!

@LosAngeleno1959 His parents died many years ago but had still lived in his boyhood home on Orange St., near the library. My mom and her sisters went to school with Tim "Tom" Conway. Everyone in town who knew him before he was a star call him Tom, his real name.

chagrin is not cheap. the cost of living is substantially higher than other cleveland suburbs. its a bubble community, children growing up may be safe from crime and whatnot, but they will not truly know what its like to live in the real world, because chagrin is so protective and sheltered. the only good thing about chagrin really is its school system is in the top 100 in the nation for public schools. and CF has got the dankest nugs around!!!

I would prefer the communities in Geauga County. Most of Chagrin Falls and Bentleyville are still in Cuyahoga and Cuyahoga is a testament to the flawed Democratic ideals and politicians. Ohio as a whole has way too many Unions, which have ruined the economy. The only problem with the exurbs of Cleveland is that they lack the character of Shaker Heights, Bratenahl, and Cleveland Heights. I really like Chardon, South Russell, and Chesterland.

Oh and (all of these things could be subjective to my experience) the weather was shitty, the marijuana there is terrible, the people there are shitty, the flora/fauna was typical, and again the people there are shitty.

But the fact that makes it most unlivable: not only is it in the US, it's in fucking Ohio... I have no intentions on drinking beer and hitting on cows (figurative or literal) until I die of cirrhosis =P

I lived outside of Chagrin Falls in the 60's and miss it still (now in Canada). It was beautiful~ mind you, it certainly had it share of problems in those days; which everyone was experiencing...but I loved it and think about it it often.... I remember the movie theatre (took art lessons upstairs), the art supply store ~ the falls of course and the beautiful two lane roads all the way around that part of the world...gorgeous! Someday I'll come back for a visit.

Chagrin Falls is borrrrrring!!! What about Joey's? How about you have to drive 15 to 20 min. to get fast food! The RTA only comes every 2 hours till 4pm! The school system is over rated! There is 1 good thing! The Metro Parks are close!! You could not pay me to move back there!!
