Unless some one sells a m109r with a 300mm, they come stock with a 240mm, it requires an aftermarket swingarm some modification to the fender, and a after market wheel. you will loose handling and bit of performance.

I used to own one of these bikes, if your looking to buy one, skip the 2006 model, it has several bugs in it that suzuki wouldnt fix, they would not recall the bike, but wouldnt fix the problems...checkout m109 riders.com site will give you plenty of info on this bike, I will be getting another m109, just going to get a newer model, the 07' or 08' model sounds more sound than the 06 they came out with
On the red 109 is a 300mm the Blk one looks like a 280mm, if ur are going to the 300 u will need a swingarm kit and a 10" rim, the 280 fits the stock swingarm but u will need the 10" rim
The 2006 and 2007 only have one isue and is the Trany shift fork, that was made of a weak material, that can be bent if you had a miss shift. in 2008 and higher they change to a stiffer shift fork, their are plenty of 06 and 07 with out any isues. If you are planing to get a 2007 it carries the same problem as the 2006 so i woud go for 2008 and newer, if you are wondering what was diff between 06 and 07 the 06 had more plastic chrom covers and in 07 they change them in to metal that is it.....

i presume you are talking about the triumph rocket 111,my suggestion is ride them both at a dealer,i had a m109r for about a year and i got sick of riding it,the gearbox is a pig on these things,there is way too much plastic on them,they have a lot of grunt but it is very linear which i found boring,i'm back to a litre sport bike now but i wouldn't mind a rocket 111 or a victory ness jackpot,nice !!

i have a friend with an M109 Boulevard, and it's an absolutely gorgeous bike as well.
the best advice i can give you would be to visit dealerships and take each one for a test ride.
@myrryxmas Thanks for the advice. That's a good idea. I know Triumph offers test rides, but I am not sure about Suzuki. There is a Suzuki dealership near my location in Monterey, CA. I will find out if I can ride an M109R so I can make my final decision.

We are talking about two diff bikes, Suszuki claims it, i belive they are talking about cruisers in general and that was back in 2006........ In a few more yrs. another company will make a bigger motor...
I love these bikes, but in all fairness, it's not the most powerful twin in the world - not even close. The Ducati 1198's put out over 170 HP, they have just under 100 ft pounds of torque and they weigh a hell of a lot less then the m109r's. In saying all of that, this bike is amazing!
at 1:08 is just plain beautiful. I'd do mine a little bit darker with a beige seat and alonger rear fender. Custom look , without the custom price , but you have the jap reliability.
I twisted 109 and HD Softail, Took HD Softail back home, even it cost 4000€ more.... Cant explain why, but HD felt much more exiting and raw to me.... 109 looks too candy to me...

I love these bikes, but in all fairness, it's not the most powerful twin in the world - not even close. The Ducati 1198's put out over 170 HP, they have just under 100 ft pounds of torque and they weigh a hell of a lot less then the m109r's. In saying all of that, this bike is amazing!
