I had some questions about getting the new satin model on my 11" macbook air. This video set me straight and I ran through the install & removal without a hitch. Very good. I was wondering why I didn't get some instructions in the box and now I know. Looks sharp too!

I got the see through one for a 13" ali MBP. It don't fit for some reason it's slightly too wide. Ill have to go back to the mac shop and get a different one.

Honestly don't buy these unless you are gonna open them up each week and clean them. And believe me its hard and you will scratch up your Macbook pro. Besides your Macbook is already made out of METAL. Which protects much better than plastic. And with this case takes away the style.

well taking off the top one was wayyyy too hard like impossible literally......i had to pry the thing open with a credit card with all of my force.....i was to the point that i couldnt take it off i didnt care if it damaged my mac ugh that was hard but i just did it so....

Mine does not want to come off. I have a macbook pro 15 inch silver key. The tabs get stuck in the small edge of the laptop. The bottom comes of easily, but it's the top one that doesn't want to come off. I've been sitting for an hour trying to get it off. I have yet to try the credit card method. Hopefully that helps or I'll have to go to the apple store so they can help me take it off.

the apple store installed my speck see thru on the wrong side - the speck logo is upsidedown... will that make any difference in the long run? should i uninstall it and make it the right way or it doesnt matter?

the see thru is the gloss model shown in the video, the satin model has more of a matte look and has a rubbery grippy coating on it

What kind of material is the tabs made out of? The only thing that is holding me back on these hardshells is the ability to scratch or "dent" the laptop.

you make it seem so easy great vid. i just bought a white 13 in. macbook and a speck case for it but it doesn't seem to fit. i have tried doing it like you but the corners just don't fit..did i maybe get a wrong one? it said it was for white macbook

Use the "Credit Card Method" as shown towards the end of this video. A credit card will help you easily pop the case off of your MacBook.
