I really enjoy this carrillon. I used to listen to it on my shortwave radio sitting in my garden in Atlanta GA. The chimes have a beautiful sound and give me a special feeling that I cannot put into words. I would tune in to Radio Netherlands just to hear them. Listening to them on a radio about the size of my foot a few thousand miles away from the broadcast origination made it seem evern more special.

@schmoobee me too! As a kid, I used to love the 'Happy Station' with Eddie Startz! And I'd listen nearly always to shortwave.......Ahh, those wonderful station identifiers like this one before a broadcast! Happy days indeed listening to my old GEC multiband radio reciever here in England!

Tjeetje. Dat zijn mooie herinneringen toen ik nog in het buitenland woonde. Nederland zoals het was, klein, trots, ijverig, en niet kruipend voor wat voor euro of eurocraat dan ook. De gulden ZAL terugkomen. En onze onafhankelijkheid erbij.

Deze tune wordt nog steeds gebruikt hoor ;) Als 's avonds de uitzending om 23.00 de uitzending weer hervat wordt op kortegolf, dan hoor je deze tune nog steeds. Ik weet niet of hij ook op satelliet en internet te horen is eigenlijk..

Voor zover ik weet wordt deze nog steeds gebruikt om een frequentie in te luiden.
