@Yankeeprepperasshat - Chalk - The Seven Sisters are a series of chalk cliffs by the English Channel. They form part of the South Downs in East Sussex, between the towns of Seaford and Eastbourne in southern England. They are within the Seven Sisters Country Park. They are the remnants of dry valleys in the chalk South Downs, which are gradually being eroded by the sea.
I was there last year! and it was so hard to climb the seven sisters!! xD then you go up and then you go down!! that was nice. and very beautiful nature to!
An interesting note: When Chitty Chitty Bang Bang drives over the cliff in the film, and then begins to fly, the Beachy Head Lighthouse there in Eastbourne, Sussex appears in the right background. Of course it's a filmography effect, but someone did fly over it in real life to film it. Thanks for filming this. Glad to know the light is still there!
Google earth coordinates for this area is: 50°44'1.40"N , 0°14'29.17"E Copy then paste these into Google Earth, and you can fly there.
Live in Japan, but return to Seaford every year to see my father. My favourtie walk - over Seaford Head to Exceat. The strange thing is the weather is always perfect.
Beautiful! I remember a flight to Europe (landing at Frankfurt airport) years ago with crystal clear skies. We passed over the SE coast of England as the sun was rising. The white cliffs were absolutely brilliant, even from that relative height.
why is it white? is it stone or sand or clay?

Mmmm and the air is so good there on a warm sunny day. Such a rewards to walk from Seaford town up the head just to see those iconic cliffs
