No matter how far into the future you go with technology its pointless if there is no infrastructure to support it. All over the world 4G is still not available. There is no true 4G network as it is required to give a min of 100 Mbps and no network can do that. Also T-Mobils HSPA+ is 3G based and much faster than Sprints 4G. So really Apple created a phone with functionality while HTC and Co. are developing tech. that cannot be used anyways. You have a 4G phone that is a paper weight.

Compared to an iphone a HTC Evo sucks and thats the current best droid tech has to offer. Simply because the Evo is a CDMA means your stuck with sprint so no jailbreak and no switching carriers. Sprints 4G coverage is highly limited to cities. So most of the time your on 3G or worse anyways. The most important battery life on Evo is terrible. Whats the point of having all those cool functions when your phone has to be plugged in all the time and lasts less than 6hrs?

I might get this iphone but I hate the fact people see apple as a company that does thing first. Video calling is seen as one of the main selling points well I remember having video calling on three 7 years ago.

@lewisanthony gyroscope is a marketing term the Android has a similar 6 way gyro .Yes android offers video chat it has a front and rear facing camera and you don't have to be on wifi to do it just 4G which means you can do it on the go. You can even stream live to the internet using Qik with in 720p using 8mp or the front facing 1.3mp cameras on the 4G network. Try not to buy into the marketing hype. The iphone 4 is obsolete before its even been release.

My Samsung Omnia is nearly 2 years old.... and it does all this, it also has accelerometers, dual camera, multitasking, 5Mp Camera with LED Flash..... OK, It has WinMo and it doesn't have all that retina Technology and (clearly) It's not made by apple... It's a good piece of Hardware and Software, but they're not inventing nothing that wan't already made 2 years ago.....by Samsung....and OF COURSE the iPhone 4 it's faster, Its 2010 tech vs 2008 tech (P.S I'm not a Windows / Samsung fanboy).

The HTC is a great phone I say but not nearly as good as the iPhone 4. HTC is not that much faster either. Sprint may have a powerful phone but, they are not a powerful carrier. IPhone 4 has better too. The HTC is a small smear of shit on the iPhone 4's ass. :P

@blackspeedm3 Don't make things up. The EVO and Android in general DOES NOT, to this day, have the fluidity and intuitive apps the iphone has had for years now. The graphics, the smoothness, the multi touch, the detail, are all better on the 3g iphone then they are on the EVO, which is years older. That's a fact, you don't need to be a genius to know the iphone is far far superior in apps. That's all I care about, quality of the apps, and iphone wins bar none.
