I think she said, "No, baby, I will tell you, I'm your sister, I am tellin' it to you, and I'm tellin' you today / And I said, will you be my sister, yeah, be my sister, yadda, yeah..." I challenge all of you to come up with a more accurate translation. [Because I know this is not completely accurate.]
ummm....that night of that show stevie was very emotional she was still greiving over losing her best friend robin the year or two before.....i found this info on the wikipedia website, just type stevie nicks....but i do trust the website...i visit it daily!!!
if you listen to other live versions of this, you know exactly what she is trying to say...she just got a little crazy with it on this particular night..when they were filming it...which is mostly the reason im sure.
I agree with June....however, the first time I saw this, in 85, I thought the same thing that she was channeling something, but the coke and mixture of every thing going on with the band at the time, it all just came flooding through. Note that as she is crying, Lyndsey makes an obvious move towards her, as if comfort her, laying his head on her shoulder, creating a moment caught on film of his enduring love and concern for her.

i don't think it's speaking in tongues, or possession, or anything like that.
this is absolutely the most pure, raw expression for what she was feeling,
and she just let it go.
i think it's beautiful:)

Stevie is not speaking in tongues. If you listen carefully, the words are there. Nothing spooky about it, she was just very coked up.
