  • tune up your jeep man!

  • SEA FOSSE IA DAR GANGORA...

  • I want to get one of these and put a Subaru STI engine it it. It would have enough power to go offroading then

  • I admitingly got annoyed everytime he tried to get up hill..then i read how two out 4 cyls have low compression...then why take a piece of history out and beat it MORE?,,,rebuild ..THEN give it little more gas. Come on dude, dont tell me you havent wheeled before

  • Mount snow chains!

  • 4low brah da facken thing get low and ontop a dat da ting is low in low

  • nul a chier pourtant j adore la jeep willys

  • your front wheels are not pulling

  • USE 4 LOW

  • Il a pas compris qu'elle passe pas ? Quel boulet ce type !

  • Comment removed

  • Looks like you would've high-centered it if you were able to get your front tires over .

  • lockers needed

  • Dig a fucking hole!!!!

  • greatlooking jeep always nice to see one like his

  • I can even tell the compression is low! dont listen to any of these hate comments.... they just want to get a response... and the jeep is beautiful! i need to start my 48 cj2a

  • S0N MI PASION YO LOS RECOSTRUYO..

  • I`m guessing pull it back a bit further then give it some gas

  • wow... who ever the retard is that posted this video needs to go back to the 3rd grade and learn to spell like a normal person, @4wheelingwook, i agree. a dickless monkey could have made it up that hill.

  • Not criticizing you or your Willy's but was the front axle actually pulling cause the right front never showed much dirt on the tires. Just asking but great video good to see a oldie doing what it was intended to do....

  • put it in 4l u retard

  • Turn the steering wheel to both sides for to pass on that hill!. Did you tried on 4L, 4H or 2L?

Back home I left my old willys jeep, now I miss to drive my jeep on the snow here in Canada.

  • with a engine rebuild the jeep gets his original horsepower back...

thing looks in very good shape.. to bad they are not much for sale.. i wish i could find one from WW2 in good shape

  • I have been untreated in thes cars and I am wondering wheir o could buy one and I don't want one that is a run-on model I want it to original or very close plz reply

  • @TidalSnow1 you can get them on craigslist for around 1000 for an ok condition one. i have bought 11 of them off craigslist so far and am in the process of restoring them all. Theyre absolutely amazing at offroading and extremely durable, they last forever. if youre thinking of getting one its a great investment. the 1950-1952 m38 model is the korean war era one and it is the best built so go for that year if you can good luck!

  • I think with a bit more speed built up you'd have made it over just fine...but then again, I've never driven a WWII era Jeep. Seem like they were pretty capable, judging by videos from the 1940's. I'd love to see an old-school re-issue of this model.

  • diesel ? but it's my favourite car !!! I want to buy one and go around the city !! it's my dream !! =)

  • if that thing fliped, your dead.

  • dude you suck at driving!

  • vai ser ruim de bolehia na casa do carvalho

  • Why would you abuse a beautiful piece of history with your nasty ass? Try low range next time jerk off.

  • rev the engine hillbilly!!

  • the boys at wrangler forum would be freeking out

  • stupid asshole

  • THEASE THING WERE BUILT TO TAKE PUNISHMENT-come on back up and just nail it drive it like a JEEP this is sickning

  • bad ass bro the engine sounds weird because of the type of muffler

  • bad ass bro

  • drive it like they used to in the army :P

  • put it in 4x4 lol

  • do you even know how to off rode

  • @dondondonman do you even know how to spell?!?!?!?! dummy!!

  • so simple, just deflate the tires a little and you can go on and have some traction....

  • go back enough t get some speed!!!!

  • Was that Jeep in Four wheel drive or only Two because the backs have the sand crust but the fronts have only the black.

  • No offence , but it sounds exactly like volkswagon from the 60's .

  • This shows me how the flat-head engine will keep pulling at a very low RPM. I think the driver is doing a good job of clutch-brake work. Fun lunch break ! !

  • junk

  • Cool, atleast you are using it like it was meant to be used.

  • i heard that this man after 3 years is still there, doing this.

  • Someone call headquarters, tell'em some idiots got ahold of the major's jeep again

  • Dude....it's called momentum. You don't get it from 3 foot run-up......that was a driver issue, not the jeep. With the right driver, no problem.

  • these look fun as hell to drive like jump curbs with em lol

  • nice car!compliments

  • I like and learned from this vid. The Go-Devil engine is hard to stall. And some people are on the rag about anything

  • How to wear a clutch out in 3 minuites !!!!

  • Hey man, ignore the negative comments. Beautiful Jeep and it looks like you're having fun. That's what you're supposed to do in a Jeep!

  • get yourself a landrover. . . . .

  • yep, sounds like a great idea.. and replace the engine at 1000 miles!

  • these started the hole thing ya dumb ass

  • Do you have 4x4 on that?

  • It is sad how bad some people are at driving. Its Called MOMENTUM, Jackass. even with it running like a bag of assholes with the power of a rideon mower, a little speed would hop you up and over that shit.. Douche is probably in high range also.

  • sos un muerto manejando titan!!!! saludos (Arg)

  • No wonder! Those are practically racing slicks!

  • Fly to Omaha Beach and find the two missing cylinders ! Then try again...:-)

  • lol^^ haha ^^

  • You dont need new tires bro, the jeep, looks like it needs lockers, both center and axcel lockers. Those will help you crawl over hills like this one :-)

...and yeah, as mentioned in some of the previous comments, get that engine looked after, it sounds really bad.

Theres alot of jeep forums where you can get help with this, just google it, and there should be alot of jeep forums comming up. :-)

  • You are running on just 2 cylinders... We have several of these in India where I live and they climb steeper gradients than these with relative ease.......most importantly the engines of machines that we offroad with are kept in brilliant order,

  • the engine sounds werid? why's that?

  • Its do for a rebulid. it has low compression in two of the cinders.

  • theres nothing wrong with the tyres at all. the MB model jeep got voted 4wD of the century. this things running like shit and the guy hasn't got a clue how to drive. CJ5 haha wat a joke landrover pfft all these things were based on this vehicle. sun never sets on the mighty jeep.

  • another idiot comment

  • Is he foolish?

  • Aprende a manejar campeon!!! saludos desde Argentina!!

  • Better tires and don't be afraid of the gas.

  • I want that jeep...lol

  • its a willy jeep... original. Cant expect it to be crawling over walls like a cj5

  • Giv it to me..

  • I want to kill myself for actually watching that all the way through.

  • PUT COCA COLA ... I THINK IS GO !!!

  • you would have made it if the tires were a little wider.

  • yep.

  • those skinny tires just cut and dig like a disk plow

  • Hit it harder.... You needed to move more that 2 feet... It obvioulsy wasnt working.

  • You just need the optional capstan winch on the front, then G2G! :)

  • First off.. nice, nice jeep. Which engine you got on that baby?

Secondly, why didn't you try 4H? I see that you had engaged 4L, and it didn't work... so maybe you could've tried 4H.

  • going faster dont always help...especially ina an old military issue jeep...if it wont make it just creeping...4H aint gonna help either

  • mines just like that

  • pro loking

  • lucky you wernt in combat! youd been screwed!

  • nice jeep, i will have one someday and drive around AZ

  • yes your jeep is a cool classic, but lean how to drive..

  • I love that willy maybe im getting one soon

  • You need to learn to spell retard

  • What a sweet peice of history.

    I love them old Willys.

My uncle had one when I was growing up on the farm. We used it for hunting & fishing and removing snow. But my Uncles was not a nice shape as yours. I Hate myself for not taking it after my uncle passed and my aunt offered it to me for free. when I said no thx she then she sold it for $500.

WAS I A DUMBY WHEN I WAS YOUNG!

    : (

  • @GerryK61 ya my grand father has one but been setting for 20 or so years man i want it to restore

  • Good Video nonetheless because you have a good Willy! I would love to get one but good luck with that due to finding one not complete or with a beat up body...

  • im thinking a dickless monkey coulda made it over that hill in your jeep

every time your tires start to spin, you back off...you need that tire spin...but at the same time, you around giving it enough RPMs....you need to back up more, and give it enough RPMs that you can keep spinning those tires so they can pull you up the hill...of course your tires will start to spin, but you dont stop just bc they start spinning...gotta keep into it and let it do its thing..

  • every time I hit the gas in it was FULL power! it is a 65 year old 4 clder engine that is do for a rebuld. it is only makeing about 30 or 40 HP! that jeep is not powering over anyting! also you cant see it in the video but that hill gets much taller in the brush and that is what I was not makeing it over.

  • damn you lost THAT much HP? I knew engines died out over time, but not by as much as 1/3! it still beats any "jeep" they make today

  • @ChevyM14 they only made like 50-75hp stock i think

  • @4wheelingwook it proly has a little 4 cylinder motor with over like 200 thousand miles on it you dumbass ide like to see you when your 65 years and over 200 thousand miles on you u proly couldnt make it over that hill on ur hands and knees

  • @4wheelingwook Funny because everytime my tires start to spin in dirt like that, I dig it in up to the axles. I have thoes same tires on mine and they will dig a hole fast.

  • Fuck you're dumb (watch him get angry).

  • Fuck you, I bet you could not even drive manual transmission, let alone a 65 year old army truck!

  • brainless monkey

  • I would have if ther was more the 2 feet to backup in to. give me your phone number sow I can call you next time I go off and you can tell me where to put the key in my jeep and witch one is the gas and brake.

  • Dude why dont you back up more than 2 feet? Dont you understand your not getting enough SPEED? You need to MOB tough.

  • awesome jeep but id hate to be stuck in the middle of a warzone with that guy driving the jeep lol

  • Fuck you, I could out drive you any day of the week. my jeep could not make it over that hill no matter who was driveing it. it has 5" wide tires, no lockers and only 40HP!

  • haha woah woah im sorry man I dont hate on any jeep driver I was just picturing bombs going off and guuun fire and you tryin to get over that rut lol, im shure you can drive, dont know if you can trail ride better than me but I dont know you so who knows sorry again that you took that as a personal jab keep jeepin

  • no problum, I just get so pissed off when some 14 year old kids go "I could have gotin over that" or "my 2009 jeep rubicon could get over that".

  • how many times does he need to try to realize it can'tr make it.. such a dumb ass

  • I bet you only try stuff only once in eveything you do in life. I bet your not good at anything are you.

  • rear wheels work wel in this jeep! but is there 4 runner transmision? how does it work for this old car?

  • Awsome Jeep Man!

  • ah this engine is rock solid! a real torquer

  • which engine is in this little guy?

  • 134ci. flat head ("L head") it makes 60HP when it is new, and the one in my Jeep is 65 years old so it make much less HP.

  • i found with the willys, is that they have plenty of power to get the job done, but their lack of weight dosnt help in the TRACTION department!

  • Well... correct me if im wrong...

it is a 4 cilinder motor?

If it is... i thing you are traying to use low RPM, and this old Goodie works bether with a little more high RPM!! :-)

    I have a Willys CL5 1960 ) no videos yet..

  • That is a bad A.. willys but i have a 47 cj2a that would drive circle around you.

ps it is not stock in any way.

  • It congratulates intellectuals it has left suffice to disperse under such hill without no problem fiat - even 126p

  • my unimog could do that in all of about 2 seconds

  • this is also 60 years older than your unimog

  • no my unimog is a 1963 404s

  • still 20 years

  • U could at least put some better tires on it

  • is that puppy in 4 weel drive?

  • Russian UAZ is the best- Willys-shit for the country not for hills

  • ta com dó? acelera!!!

  • Hehe, willy's need to go fast of these ;)

  • what are lockers

  • i don't really get the idea of this one...

  • there nothing to get. I was bord at work and I had a Jeep and camera and ther was a hill! thats all there is to it.

  • Nice jeep.

  • I bet you a million dollars that wasnt an invasion vehicle that made it back to the states. Take the fucking drop starts off....as a matter of fact if ur gonna fucking put them on ther The put them in the right places an the right size...jackass. Ill give credit for star facing right direction most ppl think its the other way...

  • Where's your jeep man? It's his jeep he can do what he wants with it

  • My m38 jeep is sittin in the sideyard and has everything down to the last detail done to restore it.

  • Good for you, whoop de doo it's down to the last detail; as soon as they got into the hands of the troops they started changing things. The star on the hood could go either way, if you sanded down more than 1 hood you would notice that

Why do you have to be such a jerk in the way you type

I'm surprised you didn't bitch about the rear bumper or licenses plate, they aren't "original"

  • im aware those arent origingal lol. i just mentioned the Star cuz its an obvious things that you can change.

Actually Hood stars went on facing direction of forward movement. It didnt "go on either way" Just as the America flag is properly faced on military equipement/vehicles. I have sanded down more that one hood and I have original manuals and basic logic lol . stars point in direction of forward movement. lol I wasnt trying to make a big deal YOU are the one that assumed i didnt own one.

  • no and im sorry i just ran off the deep end there its just because 99% of the people that really complain that i've run into are the people that learned things from band of brothers or from a video game,

    ya know what i mean?

I've had people come up to my jeeps and say A, B, C, and, D is wrong with it. and ill say ok can i take a look at your jeep and compare. most of the time they say "uhhh well..... i dont have one"

  • lol ya i know what you mean...games can be pretty bad sometimes and thers a lot of uneducated people.

Ill admit i went a little to far too but i was kinda in a bad mood lol.

  • In our hobby we have assholes like you. Don't you pricks have anything else to scrutinize.

  • whos We??? what Hobby???

btw if u actually take the time to read the shit youll seee we worked it out and its no big deal. I was just kinda annoyed at the time with ppl who halfwass stuff and misrepresent others who put alotta effort into restoration.

  • The MVPA, douche bag

  • ppl that believe themselves to actually belong to a civilized organization dont call ppl dbags... You sound like a wannabe, and any person from the mbvpa or any other Antique car restoration/preservation organization would agree with me that if youre gonna restore you should do it right...

  • This coming from the douche who's youtube name is fatal orgasm. I'm the kind of prick that puts solid rims on a MB and could care less about meticulious ego crazy collectors you fucking loser.

  • lol well u said MVPA...so why would you have a problem with someone restoring a vehicle properly???

  • Try putting it in 4 wheel drive man and you might get somewhere.

  • At 1:16 you can see durt for the left front wheel shoot out. it was in 4WD but it has open diff's so only one of the front wheels spin in the durt. BTW thats for giveing me that gert pice of off road info. If it was not for you I would have Never known how to use me Jeep....Jackass

  • well it sounds like a harley wla...

  • Not easy to drive in loose sand like that.

Strange sound on the engine, is it leaking exhaust?

  • it may be, I cant seem to find where it is coming from. I think the inside to the muffler is not right.

  • dude is that thing even in 4 wheel drive...cause it dont look it....my stock XJ coulda done that in 2wd

  • lets see what your XJ can do in 60+ years! as for the 4WD, read all the outher posts!

  • hey man wasnt tryin to knock you or anything...i think its awesome, i love all jeeps, i just dont know alot about the original willys...those tires and loose dirt didnt help much....but my xj is 16 years old this year and she still does good...im a true jeeper man, sorry i didnt read a little more in depth about the 4wd, and i didnt realize they dont have a full on locking system that locks the wheels tight...didnt mean to offend ya dude nice jeep tho, looks to be in good running order

  • im 15.. im joking.. take a joke would ya, an its not me who can "offroad" its my dad

im sorry if ive offended you

  • its cool, I just get piss off evey time some one gos "I could have don that" and they dont even own a car!

  • you cant drive! idiot

  • Where the videos you your driveing skill? I have the bolls to put all the videos of me driveing, not just the ones where I made it. did you look at any of my outher videos? If you the expert on off roading, what do you think I am doing woring, and how would you do it?

  • Then rebuild it!!! If you don't know how, I'll do it for you...

  • It is rebuild! it has been rebuild meny time over 63 years! this jeep was never a show truck, it was a used for work for its hole life. I am not doing anying that this jeep was not ment to do, or anything that it should not be doing! I dont think you konw how tuff these jeeps are, becuse let them rot a way dont use them for what they were made to do, and what they love to do!

  • I have 2 Jeeps, 1 GMC, 2 Jeep trailers. I rebuild Jeeps, 5 in last 10 years, so I know what Jeeps are and what they can do. It's BAD to use so valuable Classic for everyday work. Buy a new one, old classics are just for fun.

If you want to see my Jeeps, look for me on photobucket, user: btudan...

  • "old classics are just for fun." I know, and it was a lot of fun. I dont use it for everyday work, but my point it that this jeep dos not have a lot of valuable because it was used for evey day work up untill I got it 2 years ago. it has no valuable because most of the parts are repro replacmets and the nos pasts have long since worn out and been replaced

  • Are you interested in selling it man? I would love a Jeep like that for exploring and such.

  • How to destroy a Jeep...

  • how would you know? old cars are like mussels, you need you use them, or they will go bad. I have the best working WWII jeep out of anyone I know!

  • Classic car must be in perfect condition and it is not supposed to be used in a way that will distroy the car. Original parts must be NOS, not replicas. So, if you think that you can brake NOS shafts that are hard to find or...just do it. It's a shame no matter what you think...

  • This jeep is not perfect condition. it was usd by the army to fight a WORLD WAR, then it was used as a utility truck untill the 60's when it was made in to a hunting truck untll the 90's was it was used as on ATV. when I got it, it has allmost no NOS parts left! if there was only a few lift (like a tiger tank) it would be a shame, but I think it is a biger shame to let it rot away in a bulding some where.

  • amen man, my (42,43,44,45 MB/47 cj2a)thats all 1 jeep lol, and my 53 M38A1 and 67 M151A1

are run almost every day i see no point in having these old jeeps unless i take them out to play in the mud, dirt, and trails

  • Nice rig, wish I could find one around here ride in or buy and drive in.

  • nice to see someone take them out 4x4ing, but it could of made it without lockers, howd we win world war 2? LOL

  • If it was WWII I would have put a bom on the left side of the hill and made it flater!!
