Please fire experts outside there help and explain to me how a cell phone can cause fires at pumping stations. I have searched everywhere without convincing results. Thanks
It takes a spark to ignite gas vapors. Cell phones do not cause sparks. It was something else the worker did that caused a spark, probably from static electricity. Cell phones have been tested with explosive vapors hundreds of times with no problems.
Actually.. they have determined that a lot of the fires caused at gas stations are from static electricity, rather than cell phones.... seems to me that it was a coincidence. So ground yourself on your car before opening your gas tank. :)
