@signal899 The pictures are from Czech lands especially the places where Antonin Dvořák resided. First picture - Třebsko, where Dvořák played the organ every morning in the church by God services during his summer holidays. Next 4 pictures are of little castle Vysoka near Přibram, where Dvořak spent his summer holidays and composed Rusalka. Next pictures are of Vysoka and Přibram area. Have nice Sunday. Ria
@harpsichordRB Yes, thank you for the reply. They remind me of Iowa. I have visited Spilville, Iowa, where Dvorak spent the summer of 1893, and in the church there they still have the same organ that Dvorak played on during his stay.
@sailerperky haha what a coincidence. My school's chamber orchestra is also currently learning this piece. (I'm a violinist btw :P ) And congratulations on getting to perform at Carnegie Hall! We performed there last year for the International Music Festival. It's a once in a life time experience that you will treasure for the rest of your life! Have fun and savor every single moment! :)
this video was sent to me by a dear friend from far away, in response to my comments of despair on my FB page. suffering multiple, unexpected losses in quick succession left me aching and sleepless. it was/is the perfect gift. glimmers of light, and calm: a perfect antidote. thank you, Bashar! and thank you harpsichordRB
perfect. I've never heard this piece played like that. The tempo di valse, played here, is the most perfect way one can play. Baremboim is unique. He really understands the Music.
love the 4th movement
