People complain that WoW is nothing compared to the the original (aka vanilla/BC) as they do with any other game. That is probably because you have grown up! Chances are when you started playing WoW you were in middle school or so, and the magic of being a kid still existed in you and made the game much more interesting. When I think of my N64 games I remember how good and magical they felt, but when I go back to play them, they simply feel out dated.

yeah, i played wow for a few weeks (till lvl 62) back on TBC......good times, but not my type of game, never got myself to paly again (except a few days on a custom server)....i hoped very much they would make a new RTS sequel as i just could not follow the story in the MMO as i would in Warcraft, i mean lvl up to 70 just to read some pages of text?

So I don't have to hear their annoying music choices for login screens. While Cata's login music is bad, god I hated Wrath's login music. (Again this is just preference so people's opinions will differ I just couldn't stand Wrath at all)

Also, Cata has some amazing work too - Grim Batol (even if you claim it's a rework from Ulduar, still good...and Ulduar, which was Wrath...), the Night Elves' theme...people dis Cata's music, but it's the one thing Bliz DIDN'T screw up!

@poopsdf It was even more epic if you had experienced the whole mysticism around The Dark Portal during Vanilla. I would at times go to The Dark Portal, just to look upon it's glory, it's the damn portal that is on the login screen! It leads to an shattered world!

When it opened I could hardly believe it, the pre-event was awesome, and then seeing The Dark Portal from the other side in this login screen was awesome. Still love it.

4 double GPU HD6990 4GB cards = faster than 6 single GPU GTX 580 SLIs. The only thing that will be a match is a double GPU GTX590, not a GTX580. Get your facts right.

@esmerkiller The only reason why I disabled 3 out of 4 of my 6990s is because it not feasible to run WoW at 400+ FPS while draining more than 1000W of power. I only turn all 4 on for games like Crysis 2, Battlefield 3 on triple monitor settings.

Burning crusade , the best and most fun expainson in my opinion.

Vanilla was a lot of fun too , but a little to much grind.

BC brought us arenas , heroics and there was a just enough grinding.

Flying mounts , very fun raids and good music.

@MyWarMyVictory LK was far too easy in terms of raiding, everything was just constantly nerfed. It also spawned a new breed of players called "Wrath Babies" which consequently took over and destroyed the community.

Thought Cataclysm would be better, but sadly, they've completely ruined it, especially by lying and claiming they would introduce features like Path of the Titans which sadly never happened. Shame the way Blizzard are being run now; wish Activision never took over them.

I miss TBC - most balanced part in PvP / PvE - noobs / pro in wows history.

Vanilla = Too hardcore for way too many.

TBC = Balanced PvP gamers / PvE gamers - noobs / pros

Wotlk = Kids can be pro as well now - no skills in PvP / PvE .. Easy crap whole way.

Cata = a mixed cup of tea of Wotlk and TBC.. please, a bit harder and I would cheer my head of. :)
