@Joseph03743 The Beatles recorded their version in 1961, a few years before their break-through. I'm not sure, but I think it was the flip side of their single ”My Bonnie”, which they also recorded in German, both versions with Tony Sheridan on lead vocal. The original Beatles version of Cry For A Shadow was, just like this Vemtures version, an instrumental.
When song was written, instrumentals and beach tunes were the rage!
