Wow, I remember this episode :D I was really hoping they would have someone play Harley Quinn in The Dark Knight, she is one of my favorite Batman villians
@Orochi2345678 Yeah but you've got to admit, it was awesome how The Joker presented himself to Harley as a calm endearing person with a dark past placing himself as the victim and associating Batman a figure of authority with the picture of his "father" an abusive selfsish man. The Joker is awesome, all the way man.
kinda like the orginal joker never really did give off his true origin if anything this one and dark knight got the fact that joker never really had a past he would tlak about
When i saw this episode I felt bad for Mistah J. I actually the creators where giving him a back story. Then I saw the end and my heart sank and I felt dumb.
"The joker described as a homesidle mad man was actually a tortured soul crying out for love and acceptance". YEAH RIGHT!!!! I MEAN PLEASE THAT HARLEY QUIN IS NAIVE!
joker is actually rated 1st in best villians of all time its a fact go 2 da wikipedia of batman it will show u da list frm top 100 bad guys n joker is 1st
this is why Joker is probably one of the greatest villians in history. I think some of the of the other villians are intimadated by him and some of the other superheroes are afraid of him not because he has special powers or money but because he is human. He knows how to munipulate people to do his bidding just like Harley. Of course there also afraid of him because he is pyshco too.
nah, all the other villains are terrified of him because they know he would shoot them on the spot just because he was bored. Even mighty Lex Luthor wouldn't dare mess with the Joker which, surprisingly, puts the Joker in the same spot Dr. Doom occupies in Marvel.
He's only been disfigured in that his skin has permanently changed color. And if you've seen any other episode with Harley, the answer is obviously yes, of course she falls in love with him.
when the Joker in the dark knight talked about his abusive/drunk dad i felt so bad for him and then he tells the story about the wife later and i was like, "dang it! i should of learned from the cartoon series that he was lying" lol
One, Batman has known the Joker for years. You will never see anyone who knows the Joker quite as well as Bruce, and visa versa. 2nd, Batman fucks with the mind of generally ALL of his enemies, that's how he works. He's the brains, and highly logical and cunning.
And in turn, Joker often plays with the minds of the people he interacts with. This being one of the best examples. He can be as much psychological as physical, much like Bruce Wayne/Batman himself.
It's a very interesting relationship between them.
poor harley i feel bad for falling for jokers trick i actually believed him but then again i believed alot of people and they always turned on me past experience sure helps
What I don't get is why she always switches to that annoying voice she has whenever she's Harley Quinn. I have nothing against the Brooklyn accent, but it's the squeakiness of her voice that irritates me.
She's very childish and basically obsessed/REALLY in love with the Joker. You know how little girls get around their crushes. Their voices get higher, they do stupid stuff, act silly sometimes. It's just another way to show her wacky child-like behavior when she's with him.

Aww I felt so bad for Jokey! And then when I learned it wasnt true I felt just like Harley! "noooo! yer lying! He's a tormented soul!" wow. I'm a nut I guess :P
Actually, Batman reveals later to Harley Quinn that Joker was lying about it all. It's not really his childhood story. At some point, either in comics or in the animated series, it is mentioned that Joker doesn't really even remember his childhood. He remembers nothing from before the chemical bath that made him this way.
Yeah, I agree with you there. Depending on the comic writer, there are at least a half dozen origins; if any are mentioned. I think the most popular one was the one where he was the gangster "Red Hood."
However, in Mask of the Phantasm, he does remember his former life as a hitman. But then, I think that backstory is only part of the animated series. I wouldn't know for sure as I've not really read the comics save for one or two of the new ones while browsing at a store.
I dislike pretty much every Joker backstory, but that's because I think he's one of the few characters in all of fiction who just doesn't need one. I say let him create his own and change them as much as he wants.
Geeze...I really hope he's just lying....

And they do say love is blind.
