i will tell you that tau they are very mobile and have a great firepower, the kroot and the other auxiliary troops can help you in close combat and they have great heroes as farsight and comander shadowsun the guard also is good but they arent every tough and you will surely need a lot of infantry to win a battle the guard hopefully have very good tanks as the leman russ etc but they mean nothing against the hammerhad but its your choice man

@DavidWasHere2day mean while imperial guard are insane heavy tanks with lots of weak troops they believe in insane tank and heavy weapons fire from an easily defensible position
