Can you briefly describe how laser treatment such as this does NOT affect the retina? I guess the laser can be set for a certain distance to "pop" the floater but not affect the retina a little further away? That's my biggest concern, as my other eye never recovered from recurrant retinal detachment. My remaining "good" eye has a LOT of floaters (I guess from the PVD which it seems to be surviving the process thereof!). Having only 1 good eye, the floaters have a heavy affect on quality of life
I heard from an italian patient suffering from vitreous floater that after yag laser treatment he began see a fix black hole. Maybe some problem with rethina. How great is this risk in this kind of treatment for floaters?
@batmansuperman18 No, they won't disappear, but i never notice the eye floaters unless i think about them and look for them. My eyefloaters aren't a problem in my life, but I know ive had them for years and I used to describe them as worms moving around my eyes lol. But i only notice them if I'm looking out a window and think about them.
@OgadnNightmare but sometimes i walk during day time i move my eye up and den down i use to see few eyefloaters moving aroud ..i even see when i look at window in daytime but im realy comfort in night cuz i dont see any is it normal?and have u ever met a doctor ..is it necessary to c a doctor cuz i dont find it troubling much
@batmansuperman18 hey i am 14 and i have eye floaters 2. and no they will not disappear its just the light traveling into your eye and reflecting of your "floaters". the fluid behind your eye is 99.9% water so u must have gotten a tear in the back part of your eye and then that tear released those certin particles ,( maybe by looking at a really bright light for 2 long like the sun) and those tiny circulatory floaters but only when looking at something bright. thnx and add me as friend :D
It's just easier and more universally understood to say "I'm aging" as compared to " There appears to be a global lack of DNA reparative function that is increasing with passing time leading to a general degeneration of body function and appearance".
1:07 , aging isn't natural , in humans there are probably no genes that code for 'aging' just lack of maintenance in some areas that spirals when you get older.
ie no different then any genetic disease by function.

Why is there not a cure for young people.
I'm 17 years old and I'm dying from these eye floaters.
It's ridiculous.

How is Randy doing 6 months later?

I usually can't treat the floaters in young people. Too small and too close to the retina.

@oclaservision Do they move further away from the retina over time so it can be treated?
I have a hard time enjoying reading and working exactly as this patient, im only 23 years old though so I don't know if it can be treated.
