    Please help oppose the hunting of sandhill cranes in Kentucky. Letters to the editor of Kentucky newspapers from out of state residents who appreciate the cranes are much appreciated. For the Lexington paper send letters to hleditorial (at) herald-leader (dot) com.

    For the Louisville paper go to the courier-journal website

  • Just posted a Video Response above of another "Cranes coming in at Sunset" Video taken from a Rowe Sanctuary viewing blind very close to the river -- and the Cranes! -- in March of 2009. Has red-orange sunset in background.

  • Great video!!! I posted a vid of them flying into the sunrise.

  • Whoopers often fly with Sandhill cranes. This looks a lot like North Platte Nebraska.

  • THis is amazing. The biggest number I've ever seen was probably about 300-500 in a cornfield here in Southwest Michigan.
