  • Glad to do it. It's craftsman like you who take the time to do these things, that make it easier on the rest of us out here.. What you do in five minutes it takes many of us with bad technique 45 minutes to do, and it's still wrong b/c we overwork it.. Drywall really is an artform.

  • Great video series... You did a great job covering all the bases and walking us through the process. Looks great and you made it look easy, which it ain't!

  • @checkurfacts Thanks for taking the time to comment! I really appreciate it!

  • Thank you very much, you are so informative. I'll be watching the rest of your videos, great techniques.

  • @coconutgirl730 Thanks for watching and for your comment!

  • Great videos! How would you recommend working with textured (knockdown) walls? Would you sand smooth the areas before doing the fixes? Then retexture and paint afterwards?

  • @saladlamp Thanks a lot! As for Texture(knockdown), I can't recommend because I don't have any experience working with it.

  • Your 4 videos were extremely helpful. I am quite good at handy work but when it comes to joint, you got to have the right technique. Your videos demonstrated this quite well. It's people like you who takes the time to transfer this knowledge that make it possible for regular people to make professional job! many thanks.

  • @stephtech1 Thanks so much! I really appreciate your kind words. It means the world to me!

  • Great video mate, I was deliberating whether or not to do this myself instead of getting my ceiling plastered, having now watched your vids, I feel more confident in giving the tape and jointing a go. Many thanks mate

  • WOW, thank you! We are finishing a room in the basement for our son and my husband is a plumber not a drywall man and the mud looks horrible! I was so scared of what it would look like when finished. I'm making him watch this video tonight. It'll be YOU telling him that there should'nt still be high spots and holes...NOT me;-)

  • @126sizzle Lol! You are too funny! If you have any questions, please feel free to ask. Thanks for watching!

  • @heyzeusdee Where are you from?

  • @user72689 southern New Mexico.

  • @user72689 southern New Mexico.

  • My walls are cracking and the tape is coming loose all over the house. I want to fix an area about a foot long for now. Do i need to peel away the paint and leave the existing tape before sanding and putting the mud and patch on or do I have to cut away the foot worth of tape underneath?

  • Thank you user72689. I did the same thing Mr BS911 did. I didn't use enough mud to make the tape edges stick. These videos were VERY helpful and informative. The pros make it look so easy but this is hard work.

  • @moomoo1963 Thanks moomoo! I agree!

  • Very nice will explain Now i know where i screw up LOL i never use enought puddy in the corner before i put my tape on. I had air bubbles and it was barly hanging on to the wall and now i got to take it all off again and try it your way which is right. nice job and Great vidoes

  • @MrBullshit911 Putting enough mud on is very important because this is what glues the surface down. Happy to have helped you on your job. Its always best to just cut or tear out any loose or bubbly areas and re-tape them again! Good luck!

  • very nice. You are hired :)

  • @MrJustdoitpl Thanks!
