This is a pilot made for fox before the show got made. It is also the first family guy episode ever, titled "Death has a shadow" but is only the first half of the episode and is in different colours (im australian). Also, tom tucker's name is mike lol

Okay, this is the pilot episode of Family Guy. It was ordered by Fox before the show got picked up, and the only episode entirely animated by Seth Macfarlane. It wasn't aired, but it was remade/ expanded upon once the show was greenlit (and used as the aired first episode), so that's why you all think you've seen it before. Yeah, it's real.

@nickmandl wrong buddy, r u an idiot....... its called a pilot!!!!!! its the episode that seth macfarlane made before the show aired!!!!!!!! he made lois blonde, he made stewie's overalls purple, it wasn't till 1999 he changed them for over 4 years after the pilot...... even on tv on the pictures over the big giant stereo system in their living room, on one of the seasons, u can see stewie's old overalls in the picture and him in them. im not sure which season though..... i saw it on adult swim.
