I think that the world should get some more info for the conflict. I will state some facts:
1. There where gunfights between the South Osetia and Georgian military.
2. The offensive that the Georgian military started was well planed and as tharget it had the peaceful population
3. The people that live in S.Osetia are 80% russian citizens (every normal government would send troops to defend them even in other country, at lest i think so and i would like my country to do so for me)

I think that the world should get some more info for the conflict. I will state some facts:
1. There where gunfights between the South Osetia and Georgian military.
2. The offensive that the Georgian military started was well planed and as tharget it had the peaceful population
3. The people that live in S.Osetia are 80% russian citizens (every normal government would send troops to defend them even in other country, at lest i think so and i would like my country to do so for me)

Who started military assault? That is a tough question. One thing is clear - the action started not on August 8 by Georgian attack, like the Russian are trying to convince everybody but at least some days before. The sides were exchanging fire, there were casualties.
At any rate, the Georgian military operating within their country, and the Russians do not.

First of all, the Osetians have not live there for centuries. About 200 years ago there were on Osetians at all around Tskhinvali.
Second, if they preferred to take Russian citizenship without consent of Georgian governmnet they had to go live in Russia. If they wanted to stay in South Osetia which is Georgian land they should have keep Georgian citizenship.

When president Saakashvilli has come to power. It has destroyed 17 Georgian newspapers and 5 telechannels (has left only 2 telechannels which praise it). So I think in Russia journalists showed the truth about the conflict. And just the western mass-media showed all on the contrary. For example: video where shoots Georgian system GRAD across Tskhinvali - in the western mass-media speak that it is Russian GRAD shoots on Gori! And it is already deceit of televiewers!
