Hi, its called poetic licence. An artist can choose the language through which he will express himself. Its ok if they choose to sing in Pdgin, Hausa, Igbo etc. The idea behind these songs is not to show off lyrics but to make u dance to the beat. Nigerians are not ignorant and every enlightened person in the world knows that. In the USA and UK, loads of people dont speak English as we know it. They speak and sing in their native tongue. I live in Scotland and I dont understand what they speak.
