Austin and DX were the basis of the biginning of the Attitude Era. But Vince was the one who made the best promos, he was the top heel and heels always carry the storylines. Vince on the mic was great, i can remember more epic lines from him than other great mic workers like The Rock , Austin, Taker, Triple H, Lines like: "I'm damn sick annd tired of watching you walk around with that WWF campionship belt", Vince McMahon Didn't screw Stone Cold, Stone Cold Screwed Stone Cold"; and many others.

Not the first time this has happened. remember Royal Rumble 1998 earlier in the year, in the same building as this Raw no less (San Jose CA), they messed up Kane's pyro right before he attacked Undertaker during the Casket Match with Shawn Michaels. funny how they messed up his pyro, in the same building, in the same year, and with the Undertaker in the ring with him at the same time. weird but funny.
