If you ever come to L.A please stop by and i will introduce you to that style .We have nice darbukists and many others ,too! Was that some turkish ride cymbal on your right side? Please let me know, i would like to get my hands on the same one. Thanks!
Not bad for non-middle eastern player. You gonna need to stop speeding and practice at a slow tempo plus to play along with turkish, greek musik and try to copy the original style of those who were born with this and that playing is natural to them.
Thanks much, this was what seems like forever and I have since checked out alot of middle eastern rhythms since. I am mostly a drumset/percussion player but I love the Darbuka. Again, thanks much
nice sound. i notice you aren't using a turkish or arabic left hand on this, that is, playing with fingers. is that because you just don't play like that or does the wood hurt your fingers if you play with a regular style? where did you get this drum?
do you mean I can't play it with my right hand? should I do it in my left hand? I'm practicing it in the back of my guitar. I'm going to buy darbuka when I am rich.
Nice... a wood darbuka? Never heard of a wooden one. I have an aluminum one. Is that one loud in person?

I am not so good with the fingers. I need a teacher for that. I have a decent split finger, but that's about it. just wrists

Wow @ speed; How long have you been playing? What sort of practice\exercises did you do to get so fast while staying consistent?
