It is intersting, imho that no media that I have watched, thus far ask the question of whether Barack Obama is a Natural Born US citizen and meet all of the requirements of becoming president in accordance with the US Constitution. I wonder if the US Constitution will be ammended in the (near?) future to lessen (so to speak) one or more of the citizenship requirements to become president.

Why did McCain under pressure from the media have to produce all his birth records and other vital papers to a congressional commitee who then released a report of their findings?

Not only that but McCain's wife produce her tax records which is unprecedented.

Obama has shown reporters only his short form birth certificate which even the state of Hawaii requires the long form for social services. The short form doesn't state the name of the hospital or doctor.

Because unlike Obama, McCain wasn't actually born on American soil. He was born on an American base in Panama (and therefore is technically a natural citizen).

Go and refer back to LONG FORM birth certificate in my post. It is congress's job to verify eligbility not reporters. Also why did Obama go by Barry Soeroto until after he graduated Columbia? Could his stepfather have adopted him and Obama have dual citizenship? Why won't he produce his college records? Other candidates have.

I think that the argument of the "birthers" (they prefer to be called consitutionalists, I believe) is that the president must be a [Natural Born Citizen of the USA] according to section II of the US Constitution. They maintain that the focus of Barack Obama as a US citizen/native citizen is misleading. Some also argue that because Barack's father is Kenyan, this disqualifies him from becoming president, because both parents must be US citizens.

After Obama and his cohorts blocked this reform bill Fannie and Freddy went on to distribute trillions of dollars of worthless paper through out the economy and that is the source of our economic problems today.
