  • you did good, but garlic and cummin/ geera, cooked in the oil, before adding curry, and chicken. Makes Trini curry great

  • spot on cooking style for trini curry chicken, as for seasoning I have problems finding shadow beni in PA myself so I use cilantro instead, its not as strong so you have to use more of it but the flavor is very similar, try it sometime.

  • Do you know how to make doubles? If so, do you know how to make the peppa they put on top? I loved UWI doubles and another vendor in Valsayn. Those videos would be great!

  • People, curry chicken didn't come/appear with no written recipe back in the days when it was 1st being made. Everyone did it how they knew, now there are tons of different ways to do this. Who is to say he’s wrong so stop the hating

  • hoss that curry supposed to be burned in d pot but not to much with garlic first and yuh dont need pepper sauce to make it tasty is d seasoning you use

  • @JevonGotSkillz you did a great job boss,the color is good, trini curry is always darker that most jamaican curries, but you need shadow beni and to make your own green seasoning, dat store brand no make it!!! lol and i add garam masala to it as well. im a trini american and a professional chef, that in mind i think you do great on this page!

  • @bigsike80 I appreciate the feedback brethren. One correction though. Store brand don't see the light of day in my kitchen lol. My mom would turn in her grave if I did that. It's homemade. Garam masala is the business, I ain't have none handy but I should re-do with it. Lastly, Shadow beni is hard to find in arizona. I can sometimes find it in asian markets but not consistently. I appreciate the remind. I also appreciate the love!

  • @philly1537 you don't need channa or potatoes for curried chicken man. it gives it an entirely different taste. And yeh you can put tomatoes in curry...do you know how many roti shops sell it that way.

  • Thanks! My guy is from Trinidad. I'm not a cook so I've been doing lots of research. So far the meals I've cooked have been great. I'm going to try your version of curry chicken tonight. And I'm going to keep you as a favorite.

  • Tried this recipe Friday night, and it was DA BOMB!!! It was incredible, man! Roommate was killin' it, and my moms even ranted and raved about it. It was so good I had to cook some MORE of it on Sunday!! This'll definitely be one of my lil' "specialties" at the family gatherings!

  • WOW! Gotta tell ya I tried this last night, and it was DA BOMB!!! I couldn't believe I actually made it. I couldn't find any green seasoning, so I had to make it myself. Me and the roommate had this over some white rice and were licking our fingers!

    I'll DEFINITELY be cooking this one again! Nobody else in my family has ever made curry chicken, so this will be my own lil' "specialty" now! LOL Thanks again for the recipe, bro!
