This is just a theory, and theories are based on observations and evidence. No single theory can tell the whole story. Bacteria may travel this way dormant for an extended amount of time before colliding randomly with other habitable planets, once stuck, become active and begin the process of biological evolution again.

Either "God did it" or natural causes did it (e.g. spontaneous generation). Or both? If the atheists were right, if there is no god then everything in the universe would have to have a cause.
