  • i buried both my parents with this! :(

  • Re the lyrics - it is not "in snow" but "on snow", and it is not "upflinging rush" but "uplifting rush".

  • ah, so nice!

  • Awesome!

  • A very good poetic piece only the discerning mind can understand.its really classic from a young lad..what more, its great

  • Where is there any mention of religion in this text? It's just a poetic way of reassuring a loved-one once one has died. It might have been more intelligent to tell the person before dying what one thought of him/her

  • i think the lyrics are wrong....? sorry for neagtive vut its very nice

  • beautiful poem.

  • Gosh, I get myself crying listening to this song. These boys are awesome!

  • i ant this played at my funeral :')

  • @TheHorseGirl28 This poem was read at my nanna's funeral, it is a good one.

  • i've got chills running up my arms. b.e.a.u.t.i.f.u.l !!!

  • in rememberance is the naem of hte song

  • who is the soloist?

  • @123456789037588 The solo is Ben Crawley, and Joseph Platt is the one backing the high notes. :)

  • Beautiful...it made me cry. Very well done. :)

  • beautiful <'3

  • this is the most beautiful thing in the world. thank you libera. and thank you ben crawley. you are so special to me. the voice of an angel. i am crying even now when i have heard this song maybe 2000 times already. i love you ben crawley. you are a light of hope in my life. thank you.

  • I always thought it was a Hopi Indian Prayer. That is how I recieved it. It has been a great healing tool for all that have lost someone close to them. This is the prayer I always send. It is so beautiful put to music. Thank you Libera!

  • years ago when i was ill and at the lowest point of my life my bestest friend CARL JAMES FISHER came to me daily and stayed with me until the day came that i was all better, god was so happy with his kindness that he took him and made him into an angel, there is never a day goes by when i dont think of my mate, i never knew that there was that sort of person in the world and that it was my mate, i owe him so much for what he did, this song when i heard it reminds me of him, thankyou mr fish xxx

  • This song totally speaks for me. Rest in peace Corporal Graeme Stiff. Not a moment passes where i dont think about you. I love you so much. Missing you like crazy. Keep looking down at me babe.

I love you with all my heart xxxxx

  • One of my fav poems, by Robert Hepburn. .. nice to hear it sung. I put it to Calligraphy and a charcoal drawing when my Mum passed.

  • I thought it was by Mary Elizabeth Frye?

  • Hmmm, it seems you are quite right, it is Mary Elizabeth Frye. I had thought it odd when I saw it attributed to Robert Frost, while I had a print that said Robert Hepburn.. but did not think much on it. Now a 3rd writer, made me want to know. Wikipedia says that there was disagreement on who the writer was, but a certain journalist did the research and was able to prove it to be Mary. Go figure. Thank-you for pointing it out.

  • ben is so cute !!

  • RIP Papa. I love you and miss you.

  • This song is so beautiful. I cried the first time I heard it.

  • I did the same thing ^^

  • @BreezyExtreme It is sublime....I cry almost every time I hear it...and I am not afraid to admit that I am a 29 year old male

  • Oooh, this song sends a tingling sensation down my spine.

Beautifully sung by Libera.I am so glad I have their cd's to listen to.

  • they both still in libera??i thought now are tom ,liam, ben, josh sing those solo part...

  • no they're not, this song is done by Tom and Ed now :)

  • i wish chris robson and anthony chadney had more solos and more publicity in libera i mean seriously <3

  • Ben Crawley is legendary.

  • I love this song! it makes me think of Jesus telling Mary Magdeline he was not in the tomb...

  • @GabrielleSuperiour pfft. F-A-G

  • Who is the backing up the high notes?

Is it Chris Robson? I cannot see clearly the video it's too 'foggy'...

Plus a note:the lyrics offered here is not correct. In this song Ben sings 'i am the soft soft starlight, starlight at night' instead of 'I am the soft stars that shine at night'.

    Cheers!

  • It's Joe Platt...I wish it was Chris though! he and Anthony Cnadney did not get enough solos in my opinion.

  • O is it? Thanks. You're right, for most of the time Chris is being the 'second-role'. Actually he has really quite charming voice which deserves more solos!

  • Yup! Does Chris still sing? I know he has a band, but does he sing in choir anymore? I agree! his solo in "Voca Me" was gorgeous! That's the reason I bought the CD in the first place and now I'm a total fan!

  • I love the solos in "voca me." The song would not be as amazing as it is without those specific soloists. I don't think anyone can match Anthony Chadney's solo in "voca me".

  • Me too! I love Anthony Chadney! I wish he had gotten more solos...when I heard the "Heaven Remix" I was sooo upset!!! Don't get me wrong! I love Tom, Josh and Liam...but it was Anthony's song!! And the "ilu-ilu-ilu-mina-mina-mina" thing didn't really do it for me either...

  • Well, that makes three of us! I absolutely love him. His voice is really unique. I especially love his low notes! His voice has a beautiful rich color that I've never heard in any other member of libera or any other boys choir.

If only there were more songs of his on youtube!

  • Yeah, me too! I especially love it because of he sings within my range, I don't have to strain myself while singing his solos in A new heaven and Voca me. Plus, our voices blend really well! I'm friends with him now, he's really cool! he's got a band and he's doing a competition sometine in February but I won't be able to come! lacrymosa!:(

He liked my drawings of him though!:) Someday, I'm going to make a video for A new heaven with a bunch of my pictures of him..I can't wait!

  • is this ben crawley? whatever happen to him?

  • It is Ben. He's still with Libera helping organise things.

An utterly beautiful and consoling song, well sung Ben.

  • this makes me cry every time i listen to it, its so beautiful!!

  • I want this one played at my funeral. Everytime I hear it I get tears in my eyes. It's so beautiful. And the boys have great voices

  • One of their most mature and powerful songs...I can't even listen to this very often, it's so overpoweringly intense. A real achievement...the Leiden cut is even better.

  • This song is something that makes alot of sense and I think that the lyrics were very well written.

  • Ihave been searchig a song like this for ages. I have almost forgotten I am still made of feelings. Let's feel young.

  • Poignant and emotionally charged. I am so grateful I found this here. I have used it to help in my grieving process. Thank you very much. It is a beautiful melody set in a very stark way, yet with so much feeling.

  • This song is so beautiful and calming in a strange shivery-way. I love it--specially the boy sopranos.

  • SP101...

This a poem that is often read a funerals. The author is unknown. The poem has no with any religious test. Search Wikipedia.

This is my favorite song version of the poem. I've already transcribed so I can play along with the recording.

  • The author of this poem is Mary Elizabeth Frye.. :)

  • Can anybody tell me if this song was written after any particular psalm in the bible?

  • I luv dis song.Its a heart touching song

  • wow, this poem is on my Grandpa's headstone. Very emotional. Beautiful singers.

  • I dunno, i like this version, but I think I love it when Tom sings the solo in the newer version. I think his voice has more.. emotion, or something. But this is still great!

  • Who is Tom?

    One of these boys?

  • no, he's one of the newer ones. if you see the videos people have added from libera's new dvd called "angel voices", tom sings it. Its one the the links beside this video if you can find it - its says "Libera Stay with me+Do not stand at my grave" :D

  • thanks. Yes, Tom is good as well.

  • Beautiful.

    I love the lyrics.
