Lets not forget that Obama's plan is to IMMEDIATELY cover over 25 million illegal aliens with federally subsidized health insurance, dramatically driving up costs and forcing federal rationing of health care. As in U.K. and Canada, you wont be permitted certain medical procedures if the bureaucrats decide you are not worth it. Imagine you will be standing in line behind illegals, and Americans will be waiting for simple procedures such as CT scans --- several month waits. Imagine the taxes!

But I would like to point out that while you might wait several months in Canada for a procedure (or a transplant), here there are millions of uninsured people that will never have access to them and millions more whose insurance companies will refuse to pay. Barack Obama is certainly a Marxist. His surogate father after his Mother dumped him off in Hawaii was Frank Marshall Davis who was a well known Commie and mentored the young Barry Obama in Hawaii. I would say that assumptions and faulty conclusions mean a lot less than actual experience. Also, they reveal a lot more ignorance.
Personally, I wish Obama was more liberal. But I'll take what I can get in this right-wing country.

BTW - wanting fair wages, tax cuts for the middle class, and univeral health care coverage does not equal redistribution of wealth.

We should support 3rd world countries. After all, it's our fault Latin America is as poor as it is. Every time the majority of people tried to stand up to the wealthy minority that ruled these countries, the US stepped in, ousting democratically elected leaders and installing dicators and military rule.
There's no way we can make up for what we've done. But I'd be delighted if Obama tried :)

There's a reason people around the world hate our government. And it's not because they "hate our freedoms." Instead of quoting catchphrases like "Blame America First", ask yourself why people are blaming the USA. It certainly isn't the only country in the world abusing its power. But it's not the innocent, do-gooding, democracy-loving country it claims to be.
Loving America does not mean loving it blindly. It means trying to improve the country, make it the best it can be.

Good point. So taxing the American people and then turning around and throwing money at 3rd world countries, which of course would not be accountable, is the perfect marxist solution. Many countries hate our prosperity while at the same time large potions of their population would risk life-and-limb to come to America.

Research proves that private US citizens donate 15 times more than their European counter-parts. Private US citizens gave 22billion dollars a year to Africa while European countries like France only gave 7B, the UK 8B according to the Organization of Economic development. This does not even count the 16B the feds(our taxes) gave to Africa. Yeah so mean old USA and its citizens.

Who said anything about American citizens? Americans are some of the most generous people in the world. That's what makes what our government has done in our name and with our tax dollars even more digusting. Most people in other countries have nothing against Americans. They hate our government and the CIA. But we looked really stupid to the rest of the world when we re-elected Bush, and some took that as complicity with his actions. OK. I'm shutting up now.

Okay... you're quick to draw conclusions. I met several communists in Chile and they were some of the nicest people I've ever met. They spend their free time organizing food drives, teaching people to read, and fighting for the rights of the poor and oppressed. Nothing to do with Russia or China or the myth of the "evil Marxist" created by the USA in order to justify imprisioning, torturing, and killing thousands of people in Latin America.

Well most people don't share your admiration for Communism in that part of the world. For example, when the actress C Diaz decided to wear the "trendy" green bag with the communist star in Peru she angered many regular people. It evokes memories of Shining Path rebels, whose Maoist insurgency is blamed for tens of thousands of deaths in south America.

She said what she said and the ONLY reason she said it is because her husband is running for President. If he weren't I am sure they would still be listening to reverend Wright every Sunday as well.

Actually, only the past 2 years ever since the democrats took control of congress. Amazing whats happened to gas prices since then, the stock market,unemployments etc...
I take it she wasn't proud to be an American in the Clinton years either. She only is now because her husband is running for president and that is pretty sad!

Michelle Obama speaks the truth. Look around, this country is a disaster. Let's forget for a moment the chaos - repression, murder, torture - the USA has supported (and instigated) around the world. People in this country are starving, without health care, don't have enough money to feed their children. I haven't been proud of my country in years, but Michelle and Barack give me hope that some day things might be different. The public is just not used to people who tell the truth.

All you have to do is look back 2 years. What happended to that kick ass economy we had? How about the nationwide full employment? How about the record breaking 15,000 on the stock market? How about the record breaking home sales and values? I don't think you even want to look back at the gas prices 2 years ago....little odd things have gone downhill since then don't ya think????
Anyways, keep listening to your liberal radio and reading your liberal papers because there's no cure for that lol!

You need to look deeper. Take the housing crisis, for example. The middle class has been so drained by the Bush economy they can no longer afford to pay their mortgages or put down payments on new houses. And gas? That's just the oil companies trying to make record profits. Many people blame the Iraq War for high prices.
Don't make assumptions about me. I came to my own conclusions years ago, when I was out of the country. It's amazing how much actual news you hear outside of the USA :)

You think the housing market crashed because of the economy? Foreclosures because of the economy? I take it you weren't here when this country seen about the largest mortgage prime rate scam it has ever seen. If people cannot afford an extra 2-300$ a month they got screwed on then should have thought a little more carefully about purchasing a home that was gonna make things tight anyways.

MMMmmm...in '06 the economy was doing great; gas was at 2.39, homes were booming, 5.1% unemployment rate. Then the DNC controls congress and guess what, homes prices fall, gas is now 3.50, and the list goes on. Congress has an approval rating of 9%.
