Mine buries her treats, in the clothes at the bottom of my closet, or in the dirty clothes basket.... or in a pile of blankets... she is so cute. Then when you put it out on the floor, first she bows or stretched in front of it... like she is getting ready, then she will roll all over it, bark at it, throw it up in the air a catch it... occasionally she will then eat it.
Mine does that. The worst part is, she's not very good at it. She will put her biscuit on your pant leg and brush her face on your pant leg as though she's pushing dirt over it, and then it's just sitting there in plain sight. If you move or the cookie falls, she looks very crestfallen, runs and gets it and then either eats it or tries to find ANOTHER bad hiding spot.
@Timmybear - Same here. He'll bury it one place, bark at it for a bit, pick it up, bury it in a corner (plain site); bark at it some more and move it to another spot. We've got tons of photos of him and more video, I should post them.
How cute! Mine will do the same thing. It's so weird how they have that instinct to do that even though mine has never been outside to bury something in the ground
Sure is a nice dog! How much ya want fer that there pooch? I saw a Jack Russel terrier today that looks JUST like our dog! These Bichon Frise dogs cure are cuties!

Haha my bichon tries to bury his food and water bowl under blankets xD The bad thing about it is that he spills his food and water :O
