You know that it is really not cricket that you get to post your comments, but you get to approve whether my comments in reply are posted. My statement that we do not derive theology from the geomentry is not here. It gives you the last word without my rebuttal, It also gives the appearance that I cannot defend my own statements.. I think that the restrictions should be lifted.
@Heatherbloom75 I'm sorry that deleted it, It were my mistake. I did that because there are some "unpolite" ones that likes posting "greetings", if you know what I mean.
What's wrong with the H2O analogy? One substance in three forms. Can't see why that's heresy. What about a triangle? One shape three sides. Can't have two sides, it's an angle. One side, it's a line not a shape. Or Time as past-present-future. So I'd say, If you don't believe Jesus is the Son of God, but he was CALLED the Son of the Most High as Gabriel told Mary and fulfills prophecy. IF Jesus is a prophet, then you still have to follow what he taught. But you cannot become a Bible teacher.
@Heatherbloom75 what's wrong ? you're comparing God with creatures ?...one day a religion appears and say we believe in the quadrinity : the father, the son, the cousin, and the spirit. want a proof ? oh just like a square !...plus with the H2O arguments in the case of the trinity it's like saying : God = God, God = Jesus, God = Holy Spirit. If you put that into H2O language: Gas=Gas, Gas=Liquid, Gas=Solid (Gas is God, Liquid is Jesus, and Solid is holy spirit)...
@Domna7 No, the theology is not based on the geometry. Theology is based on The Word. The geometry which we use to understand much of the world God created was used to describe the Oneness of a complex Being. I know a physicist who would say the same thing about time. According to time there are four parts: Past, Present, Future and Space. Does it work to explain that a Man is a Father, and a Son and a Husband? He is only one man, but to others, he has three different relationships.
@Heatherbloom75 But let us return to the origin : who "introduced" the trinity ? because it's not in the original scripture, and not for the case of the salvation too ? Jesus or...Paul ? You can still argue about the contrary, but fact is that the words of God, the Gospel that is, not the new testament etc...doesn't exists anymore. Plus you should really know that claiming Jesus= son of God, or God himself is irrational. even a child understand that.
@Domna7 Who introduced it? The Jews? Moses? Because in their language, the word for God "Elohim" is a plural word, and yet in the Shema they declare, "Hear, O Israel: The LORD our God is one LORD." I grant that the word "Trinity" is not used in the Bible. His Spirit led the Prophets of scripture. He appeared in a bodily form to Abraham, and to Joshua and Daniel. The Jews understand that the Messiah is God, but they do not think he is Jesus. And yet Muslims don't believe God can become a man.
Not at all. You can refer to the council of Nicae. It's well known even the Church doesn't hide it. They just putted pagan belief like the 25th December, which were already a this era a pagan celebration...
"Elohim"
My friend you must understand the Semitic languages (Arabic and Hebrew) : in the Quran at many times you can find " WE created them...." Now Quran had always the principal and most important message : God is one and doesn't have a son, he is no
This one of the most important sourat, if not the most, in the Quran. When some Christians came to Medina because they heard there were a prophet there, They asked the prophet Muhammad, peace and blessings upon him, how is God ? God revealed this sourat.
@Heatherbloom75 Now the Plural in Semitic languages, in the Abrahamic faiths, is a plural of majesty. Elohim is in fact ---> one god, God. You can even ask a Jew if you want.
"I grant that the word "Trinity" is not used in the Bible."
So my friend , if you recognize this you have to ask yourself the good questions. If you search carefully you'll find that Jesus teachings and Paul's teachings are in contradictions. Read the red sentence in the Bible which are Jesus sayings according to
@Domna7 That I recognize one word is not in the Bible does not change one jot or tittle of its message. It does not change anything at all. The same way you have to look at why WE is used in the Quran. If God wanted to emphasize His oneness though it is oft repeated, "I" would be the appropriate pronoun. You will say "God can do what He wills." Yes. And it was His Will to send Jesus to be the Savior to provide The Way to receive His forgiveness. Muslims say "Jesus can't," BUT GOD WILLS IT SO.
@Heatherbloom75 You have to understand that God can do anything, really anything he wants. But listen : God will never do something that will lower him. He has the capability to do anything he wants, like to punish us just like that, but God who has the most perfect attributes is the Most-Just, so he will never be unjust to his creatures. And so he will never lower himself to the state of his creatures, Jesus be upon is his prophet, our loved one, we do love him, probably more than Christians
@Heatherbloom75 Read about thinks Muslims about Jesus, and see what happens if you insult him in front of them...we even put on fire a cinema where the actor, who played the role of Jesus in the film, was in the cinema and was fornicating g with a woman...But despite that God will never lower himself to his creatures even if it is Jesus, or Muhammad peace be upon them, he is like no else, and he doesn't need to become human to transmit his message, nor does he needs to dire etc...
@Heatherbloom75 What is happening is exactly what happened to Jesus and Moses(PBUT), they came with a message, some very few numbers of Jews did follow them, the majority did disbelieves after that they saw the proofs, miracles. They corrupted the message of God, the Torah and the Gospel. Now God did sent his last message, clear and still original like in the time of the prophet Muhammad (PBUT), because he will never let his creatures without warning. Just study it some times, or demand an imam.
@Heatherbloom75 A competent person I mean, to show you what Islam is really about and what is the difference between Christianity and Islam. Then you can judge.
@Heatherbloom75 to the Church...Where does he says I'm God, worship, where does talks about trinity ? in fact his sayings is in complete concordance with God revealed to us in Quran, look at what Jesus says the day of Judgement :
“He will say, ‘Limitless are You in Your glory! It was not for me to say that to which I have no right. If I had said it, You would have known it. You know what is within myself, and I do not know what is within Yourself.
@Heatherbloom75 Verily, it is You alone who fully knows all the things that are beyond the reach of a created being’s perception. I said not to them except what you commanded me – to worship God, my Lord and your Lord. And I was a witness over them as long as I was among them; but when You took me up, You alone had been their keeper:’ for You are witness unto everything.
@Heatherbloom75 If You should punish them – indeed they are Your servants; but if You forgive them – indeed it is You who is the Exalted in Might, the Wise.” (Quran 5:116-118)
