This was the theme song for the hoopty I had in high school... I miss the days of my "youth"! I can't wait til I have another one w/the white walls all over again!!
organized noize never get enough recognition and theyre behind at least a dozen classic albums including this one. As always Big Boi spits a verse out of this world, and sleepy brown comes at it with a sick hook in his southern twang groove.
yeah but right know... Detroit shit its on the top(for me), even tho people just think our shit is just Eminem, Obie and D12? well maybe trick trick too and it aint true lol
Detroit doin they thing but ATL definitly on top moneywise and fanbase-wise, Chi-Town a very close second and rising Lupe, Common, Kanye to name just a few. Then MIA, then watchout for Philly
sampled isao tomita - passepied from the "snowflakes are dancing" lp (1974 ARL1-0488) for this joint....hi tek also sampled the same song for talib kweli's "too late" on the reflection joint...check it out
by far the most underrated album ever!! how can you have a group made up of Goodie mob, Outkast, Cool Breeze, Witchdoctor, P.A. Big Rube, Killer Mike, Slimm Calhoun, Bubba Sparxxx and a whole buncha other unknown but fire MCs and not have an instant classic. There is more talent on 'even in darkness' than any other collaboration other than Wu albums... PERIOD
Nice upload. This CD had some amazing tracks on it but didnt get much play...way overlooked. Someone should throw up some more tracks of Even in Darkness. DF = The greatest hands down.
i remember i had dis album think i was in high school or 8th man real south music need to come back we was the one wit the soul music and soul food what u kno about fish n grits my grandma rise me on gritz n eggs every mournin mayb thats y i love good music where has it gone
